NAME: T’vir (Talvir)
RANK: Weyrling
AGE: Fifteen Turns
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
DRAGON: Blue Brauth
PETS: None
APPEARANCE: T’vir stands out in a crowd. With his head of shaggy strawberry-blonde hair, he draws the eye- and he knows it. His hair is thick, but only a few inches long, enough to take on a windblown look after flights, long enough to run his hands through all too frequently. His eyes are equally unusual- a light blue shade that's not common among the primary brown eyes of a typical Pernese.
At exactly six feet and around 165 pounds, he’s otherwise pretty average. Like most riders, he’s sturdily built, due to training to tone his body, and near constant exercise. He's not massive, but with a definite noticeable wealth of muscle to his arms and legs. T’vir often can be seen bouncing, or fidgeting- he has trouble holding still for any amount of time, and he travels around the weyr often at a scurry- anything less is simply too slow.
He's charming, in a boyish sort of way. Almond-shaped eyes squint when he smiles, and a dimple appears on his left cheek. Alternatively, when he's annoyed, or angry- rare, but it does happen- his expression closes off, his face hardens, and his eyes grow cool- the approachable, cheerful face darkens into something completely different.
He’s close to his family- most of them- and while he acknowledges T’vil’s disappointment in not Impressing a bronze, he is completely head over heels for Brauth and wouldn’t trade him for anything. He keeps in touch with his mother, father, and younger sister- and completely ignores the fact that he has an older sister-brother who is also living at the Weyr.
PERSONALITY FAULTS: T’vir’s biggest fault, possibly, is that he tends to follow directions without bothering to question them. It’s a boon in times of Threadfall and crisis, but it also means he can easily be led astray without ever being sure what happened.
He can be a bit loud and brash at times, if he thinks the weyrling barracks need some livening up, and he’s got no trouble pranking his classmates, so long as he knows he won’t get in (too) much trouble for it. What’s wrong with a little fun?
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: T’vir is as friendly as Brauth is- they’re a good match, in his opinion, and he adores the blue. He enjoys getting to know people, enjoys being mixed up in a crowd, never one to hang on the edge and look on. He’s an ear to listen to troubles, if not so much an eloquent tongue to soothe those worries.
He enjoys kids as much as Brauth does, too, and takes what free time he can to take himself and the blue to the creche- or entice them out to the Bowl for the blue, as he’s growing a bit too large for the passages and rooms of the Weyr. He has no trouble getting down and playing with them until they’re called away.
He’s close to his family- most of them- and while he acknowledges T’vil’s disappointment in not Impressing a bronze, he is completely head over heels for Brauth and wouldn’t trade him for anything. He keeps in touch with his mother, father, and younger sister, wishing that Vitra could join him but acknowledging his parents’ wishes in keeping her at the Hold.
FAMILY: Father: Bronzerider T’vil of Benden Weyr
Mother: Holdfolk Arvia of Benden Hold
Sister: Vitra of Benden Hold
HISTORY: As far as his parents, T’vil and Arvia, are concerned, Talvir was their firstborn. He has only the vaguest memories of Arlin, as the older boy was already distancing himself from the family. He and his three-Turn-younger sister, Vitra, only learned the most about their oldest… sibling… from the rest of the Hold. When questioned, T’viil replied that Arlin chose to act out and leave, freely placing the blame at Arlin’s feet. Talvir accepted the one-sided explanation- Arlin, it seemed, had seemed to try his best to alienate everyone- and who ever heard of someone trying to insist that they were a girl when born a boy?
The easiest solution was to just follow his father’s direction, and so Talvir did just that. He hardly had reason to interact with Arlin anyway, as the older vanished from the Hold when Talvir was just shy of his tenth Turn. T’vil never cared to find out where he went, but Talvir found the answer when he, too, was Searched by a Mavros rider and entered Candidacy.
T’vil, on one of his visits, recognized a much visually changed Arlin, and Talvir, again taking his cue from his father, began to ignore Arlin/ Aleni. But, when he realized she- he- seemed to prefer that, he switched tactics and began to annoy her in petty ways.
When Aleni managed to bring up the consequences of one Candidate messing with another during a lesson, and Talvir realized he might end up being held back from a Hatching, he backed off. Sort of.
He was more than happy to rub his Impression of blue Brauth in Aleni’s face after he had been at the Weyr for two Turns- when she had been Standing much longer. Brauth was not nearly as interested in antagonizing the Candidate, expressing displeasure whenever T’vir’s thoughts toward anyone turned sour- at any rate, he’s been too busy with weyrling lessons to do much with the enigma that Aleni is to him.
He had been looking forward to Vitra joining him at the Weyr, but T’vil and Arvia have decided against it- there are plenty of things at the Hold to occupy the girl, without her going off and taking a chance that might come to nothing.
IN THE EVENT OF YOUR SUDDEN, UNEXPLAINED DISAPPEARANCE FROM THE SITE AT ANY POINT IN TIME, WHAT DO YOU WISH TO BECOME OF THIS CHARACTER AND ANY CREATURES THEY MAY IMPRESS?
b. Turn them into an NPC who may be killed off or used for plot purposes but who will not be played by someone else.
