Yvinka

At the long table lined with drinks of all sorts, Yvinka let go of Sio and Ceela’s hands to grab a full bottle of white wine. She hadn’t had wine very often in the past, but she’d snuck a glass here and there, and she found she enjoyed a sweeter white wine to a red, which tended toward a bitterness she didn’t generally enjoy so much. Bottle in hand, she spun to face her companions, getting a little ahead of herself, “So there’s this drinking game I’ve played but once before….”
It had only been a few months before she’d come to the Weyr, actually. She’d gone off with some hold kids around her age at a gather and they’d gotten their hands on not one but two bottles of wine, though of course there’d been more of them too. Then one of them had suggested the game. She’d gotten quite drunk from it and there had been an earful from her father when she’d finally showed back up at his ship, and that was the start of him keeping her closer because she was getting ‘too out of control’ or some such nonsense.
“It’s called Never Have I Ever…,” she continued after her dramatic little pause, wondering if any of the three had ever played it before, and continuing with the rules regardless, “So basically the first person goes never have I ever… gotten drunk, or something that you’ve never done before, and anyone that has done it has to take a drink! Pretty simple, and a great way to get to know people… if you can remember anything after.” She giggled, because she hardly remembered anything from her first game. She’d never been drunk before that and her memories from it were hazy at best… a few from the beginning were fairly clear but that didn’t last long.
She grabbed a glass from the table, raising an eyebrow as she looked the three of them over, “So, d’you wanna play?” She wiggled the bottle at them as if that would somehow entice them to say yes, her warm gaze settling on Sio and narrowing in a playful challenge for her specifically, “Or are you afraid I’ll outlast you?” She had very little tolerance, in truth, but they didn’t know that.
