Pallath politely sent along her greetings - or, warnings, depending on the interpretation - to the young gold Danovelith. Danovelith, I hope the sun has treated you well today. My rider insists on speaking to yours.
While the other dragon might still be too young to fly in a wing, she was still high ranking, and there were expectations that needed to be met. R'get sometimes forgot common courtesies like that, addressing the goldpair like he would any other weyrling pair, but his green was far more serious-minded.
With that business taken care of, Pallath returned her attention to R'get. Of course this was more of a mental sort of awareness; she did not move much from her comfortable position on the cliffs - the Rukbat was setting in the distance, and the last light reached across to warm her hide quite perfectly from where she rested. It would be a bother to move.
R'get waved to Srunae as he approached her.
"Srunae, you doing anything at the moment?" he called. Perched on his shoulder, Lady chirruped her own greeting, she had grown quite fond of the girl, for unlike most two-leggers that Lady had met, this two-legger seemed to know how to treat a unique and wonderful being like herself.
"My last night with the gold wing." He grinned widely. "I decided to throw myself a little party, which, ideally would go better if there was someone to actually say goodbye to." The grin fell to a sheepish smile. "Alas alack, you are really my only friend in that group."
"Beach, a couple of bubbly pies - because, I'd love some wine but obviously you can't drink, don't ask me about it, I might have actually bought a skin or two without remembering. All in all, I've basically planned a perfect night," R'get winked, lifting up the small basket of gooey, delicious pies. "And, of course, there's me. I'm a treat. Don't say no?"
Aahh, the good old guilt-trip tactic. Classic. Also, classy.

Srunae :: Gold DanovelithDanovelith was enjoying the last rays of the day, warm and gleaming across her pale golden hide, setting off the metallic sheen in so many lovely ways. Her eyes opened part way as a polite voice touched her mind, greeting the young queen. Danovelith was quite pleased by this show of decorum, and responded to Pallath in kind. Rukbat has, thank you for asking. I shall inform her that Yours is on the way. The gold's voice was warm and eloquent, weaving her words and tone into a sunny day upon golden fields for one who would treat her so nicely.
Srunae, Pallath's is looking for you.
Thanks for the heads up, but... Srunae waved in return to R'get, smiling lightly as the greenrider called out to her. He's already found me. Danovelith chuckled in the back of her mind before returning to her relaxation, enjoying the time to herself. "As a matter of fact, I am not." She said as he stopped before her, bowing lightly to the little golden gemglider on his shoulder. Zeek, her navy blue gemglider, sitting perched atop her head, also offered some form of reverence to the little queen, warbling sweetly to her. Floret was off on her own this evening, enjoying some time with her green firelizard counterpart. Zoom, Srunae's brown firelizard, was also off enjoying his explorations, having decided that Zeek was being boring hanging around Srunae today.
Sometimes Srunae wondered if Zeek had a sixth sense for when Rau and his gold were coming around.
"Your last night? Already?" Srunae gasped and pouted, having some difficulty holding the expression as he started talking about a party he had planned for the occasion, and how she was his only friend from the Gold Wing. She laughed, shaking her head and smiling as he laid out his entire plan for the evening, complete with bubbly pies, wine, and time out on the beach. "Of course, Rau." She said, chuckling at his invitation style. "And don't worry, I can drink wine now. I was allowed to start again last sevenday." She grinned and eyed the basket of bubbly pies with glowing interest. Rau may or may not have noticed by now, but Srunae had a serious sweet tooth--and bubbly pies were among her favorite sweets, especially redfruit pies.
"Any spot on the beach in particular?" She asked, tossing her head to get her bangs out of her face. For once, Srunae was trying to spend some time with her hair down--but the long, dark, soft locks were hard to keep out of her hazel eyes, and it was proving to be something of a challenge to avoid the runnertail tie around her wrist. ((Fuzzy timing this forward by like, a month from current time. 'Cause then she'll be allowed to drink.))

"I could not get out of there fast enough, to be honest." R'get said, and then amended, "You ladies were wonderful, but in the middle of threadfall, all I want to do is be up in the middle of it. I get this itch under my skin, you know?"
Lady ignored Zeek initially, but then after what she seemed to decree as a reasonable amount of time had passed, made a slight trill in acknowledgement to the blue gemglider's greeting. R'get laughed, reached up to stroke her pristine coat. She huffed under the attention.
"The wine will not go to waste! Ah, then, and neither have my marks."
R'get shook his head, offering a sheepish grin. "Eh, I was going to wing it. You can't really go wrong out there at this time. Let me just ask Pal where she's basking -" I will show Danovelith and hers will know "ooooor, she'll just cut the middleman out and do that, I guess."
Pallath snorted. There was use to form words occasionally, she supposed, but images were simply more efficient. Silly two-leggers. It was strange how their minds worked, that they could not reach out and press what they saw and felt, to their companions. Perhaps that was why they were so unhappy so much of the time.
The image the green sent Danovelith was lovely, there was no lie. As the light of the fading day turned pale colors in the sky, Rukbat slowly fell beneath the horizon, hidden slightly beneath clouds. The sea was calm, waves lightly lapping up against the shore. Perhaps the weather was too chilly, but the beach was strangely quiet today, empty of victors. It was perfect; still, calm.
Pallath was quite confident that she had found the best perching spot, but felt it was her duty to offer this particular vantage point to the young gold - if, of course, Danovelith decided to come as well. Propriety and all that.
She rose, lifting her wings slightly and allowing the breeze to gently press against her form, before her powerful legs pushed against the cliff to launch her gracefully into the air.
It wasn't long before she arrived at R'get's side, to carry him. And, of course, to carry Srunae if she wished for a lift.
I would not bother the young gold. Sometimes one finds the perfect basking spot and does not wish to be disturbed. You are mad at me, aren't you? It was a nice spot. Everything was perfectly warm, the rocks will be cool now that I have left it.
R'get smiled. "You can come with us, if you want. Or we can meet you and Danovelith there? Either way."
Pallath inclined her head, respectfully.

Srunae :: Gold DanovelithSrunae chuckled and nodded, smiling lightly. "Yes, I understand. You like to do as much as you can, and flying about with a flamethrower isn't what you can do." She glanced off in the direction of her dragon's perch, aware that though her gold would be quick to cover open spots in the Gold wing when the time came, she wouldn't last as long as Sularenth, and certainly wouldn't fly Thread like Pallath. It wasn't what she could do.
Zeek took no offense to Lady's initial dismissal, instead pleased that she did acknowledge him eventually. She was such a pretty lady, and he felt compelled to treat her with niceties, even if he was a blue and not a bronze. He warbled softly in response to her trill, settling comfortably atop His and simply watching Lady.
Srunae listened amiably to R'get's sheepish explanation of where on the beach they might go, obviously brightened by the weyrling's ability to drink some of the wine he had procured. The girl chuckled, tossing back her long, dark hair, and accepted the image her dragonet passed on to her. It was a pretty spot, no doubt, and Srunae stifled a gasp of awe. "Ooh, it's lovely. Perfect for a little party." She said, grinning brightly. It was here that it dawned on the weyrling that R'get hadn't invited A'zael, whom would probably be excited that his friend was allowed to go back to his usual wing; she decided that, probably, the pair had already celebrated, and now Rau was just celebrating with the "Gold Wing"; aka, Srunae. That seemed befitting of the exciteable greenrider.
Srunae turned green-brown eyes back on R'get as his green flew in, looking thoughtful as he offered to either bring her himself or meet her there if she would rather ride Danovelith. "Mmm..." She trusted Rau and Pallath not to lose her somewhere, and Danovelith seemed somewhat reluctant to move. Maybe she would take their offer--Oh nonsense. I can take you, they needn't be bothered with such a silly thing. Srunae chuckled and felt her gold's movement in the back of her mind, the vain young gold feeling motherly. Are you sure? Of course, love. Besides, I can always find a new spot to relax. And show off. Srunae shook her head and grinned at Rau. "Danovelith is coming, she says you needn't concern yourself with something so silly." Obviously the gold felt that Pallath didn't need to act with so many niceties, nice as they were. "I'll meet you over there."
Danovelith launched herself into the air from her perch, hide glinting in the fading sunlight and scattering the beams across the rocks. She landed prettily not far from the trio, head inclining to Pallath and Hers before she turned her whirling gaze back upon her Srunae, who waved and skirted off to her dragon's flank. It was good flying practice, anyway. (Phone Post, woooo!)
