NAME: Nnamdith
AGE: 11
COLOR: Blue Body
RIDER: Jorunn
RANK:
SPEAKING COLOR: 01B4FF
APPEARANCE: Nnamdith is most noticeable for his colour, a bright clear blue reminiscent of midsummer skies, His hide has occasional lighter and darker shades present but there’s no pattern, and no markings, just subtle shading. He does have a few noticeably lighter patches in his wing membranes, the result of encountering thread a little too closely.
Nnamdith is slightly on the small side and built lean and long legged with a deep chest, and absolutely huge wings. Not just wide, but also long enough that the tips cross over his tail when they’re folded, his wings have caused Nnamdith no end of trouble, as a weyrling he frequently seemed to have no control over them, and even as an adult his agility in the air is cut down by their size, Nnamdith has to put in extra time training just to keep at an average level of agility for a blue.
For all his hard work in training in the air, when it comes to movement on land Nnamdith tends toward ungainly bouncing as his typical gait and is something of a klutz to boot. Though he’s long past the stage where he trips over parts of his own body it seems Nnamdith is just accident prone, if there’s something to trip on, get tied around him, or knock over, he can usually find it.

PERSONALITY: Nnamdith is a sweet natured beast, it’s rare indeed that he meets someone he doesn’t like, and if he doesn’t like someone on first meeting, he’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. In fact, because of the poor memory of dragonkind Nnamdith’s benefit of the doubt extends almost indefinitely. In particular Nnamdith loves youngsters of all species, he’ll shamelessly play up to any holdbrat bold enough to approach him when he’s off searching no matter if they’re candidate age or not, and in the Weyr he’s happy to be a source of entertainment, and even a climbing frame for weyrling and weyrbrat alike.
One thing Nnamdith has in plenty is social skills, he loves to waste time in gossip and idle chatter, though he prefers to avoid the malicious types of gossip and will make efforts to change the subject should anyone’s faults become a topic for scrutiny, unless of course it’s Jorunn’s faults, those he’ll share, because she’s his. Even humans can’t avoid Nnamdith’s gossip ring, with candidates and weyrbrats being his favoured people to talk to, they always know such fun things. In fact the only social skill Nnamdith seems to lack is knowing when people don’t want to talk to him, maybe so many long turns of Jorunn and her crotchety ways have inured him to any hint subtler than a club in the face.
At least Nnamdith takes his duties seriously, he’s nothing more than an average threadfighter, but he certainly puts everything he has into it, and feels pride every single time he engages and flames, and nothing but crushing shame if he fails in some way. He also takes pride in his searching skills, which is where he really shines, and will often pester his rider during hatchings asking if any of ‘his’ candidates Impressed yet.
Nnamdith has an utter and complete trust in his rider, if Jorunn tells him something, it must be true, even if he doesn’t recall it, or it’s easily disproven. Though he can understand sarcasm and metaphor Nnamdith has no grip on the meanings or function of propaganda, shading the truth, or outright lying. Nnamdith is also skilled at using his rider’s mind as his own personal people, places, and events reference, making him outwardly appear to have an amazing memory for a dragon.
