PB: Alexis Bledel
PB: Alexis Bledel
NAME: Amunet
RANK: Green Handler
AGE: 25 Turns
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: demisexual
WHER: Green Amunesk {link}
PETS: None
APPEARANCE:
Amunet has been called several names before. Some of them in admiration of her appearance... some of them... more unkind. She has been called a stick as she is thin and tall, standing at nearly six feet, two inches, she is not a short woman and with her thin and slender build, though she is not lacking in shape all together as she still possess an adequate bust size and has some curve to her. She is rather proud of her stature, though she would never admit that the words people use to describe her - such as stick, are quite painful. She does take great pride in her hair, however...
Which is brown and slightly curly, especially as it comes closer to the ends. It is cut to frame her face with shaggy bangs which fall across her forehead. The longest parts of it are often tied back and swept over one shoulder which sits against slightly freckled, relatively pale skin which is often made to look a bit deeper and more pink in color by the cream colored tunics and skirts she favors wearing. Her eyes are a lovely blue color set below brown eyebrows and framed by long black eyelashes. Her lips are a pale pink color that seem to be perpetually lifted in a slight smile. Her nose is long, if a bit broad at the end and a bit crooked from braking when she was a child, but she finds no flaws personally with her face.
Amunet has a way of sweeping across the land she walks on that suggests a dominant personality, but so practiced is she at an innocent expression and appearance, that her apparent dominance in the way she moves and holds herself is often swept away in the minds of some... though not all. Her face is always carefully schooled into a mask of friendliness.
PERSONALITY FAULTS:
Amunet is a viper in a sheep's clothing. She doesn't make friends unless they can do something for her. Her kindness and caring are generally an act. She takes advantage of people regularly and has no problem with this - in fact the reason for having friends is simply this - to use them. She expects little from people, but much from herself. Her relationships are generally superficial in order to try to protect herself. She is an extremely untrusting person.
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS:
Amunet is cunning, shrewd, and intelligent. She doesn't take anything for granted and has a long memory. She is good at building someone up during he time with them, but it is almost unavoidable that she will let them down. She generally walks around with a bit of charisma and a smile that can be seen as quite attractive. She tends to be quite frugal with her words.
Personality written out:
A seemingly sweet woman to outward appearances, a viper lies within. Her eyes are often open and caring, but truly, there is a bite coming quite soon. Amunet only really sees value in having friends if they can do something for her. She is not one to be taken lightly. She will take advantage of you. Especially if you do take her lightly.
She hates to be found out in her schemes more than anything... but if you happen to find her out, then you may interest her more than her so-called friends. It's a tell-tale sign of having her interest and real desire for a friendship when she will seek you out or when she actually knows something about you - something real as most of her "friends" are only known at surface level in attempt that she should not be hurt.
Amunet does not trust easily. In fact, this is the very reason that she usually only makes friends for what they can do for her. She is used to seeing others treated as such and being treated in such a way herself. She never expects anything more, though sometimes she may expect even less and those she can expect less from are those she does not wish to associate with.
Amunet does have her redeeming qualities, though. She is a shrewd trader, intelligent, and cunning. Though they really don't make up for all of her personality flaws. She can be blunt, but most often, she is deceptive and uses her silver little tongue to get what she wants. This usually means stoking egos and getting under the skin of others. Sometimes this can mean trying to weasel her way into someone's heart only to break it later, though it is not her typical style, she will and has done as such.
Amunet has learned many of her traits of using others and seeing them for only the value they can offer her from her family who are often dishonest traders and quite possibly one of the many reasons that people distrust them. No one is more important in their minds than themselves... including their own daughters and sons whom they have used. Anyone is fair game in order to better one's own status.

HISTORY:
Amunet was born twenty-five turns ago to a woman by the name of Muanet and to the Trader Ammoren. Muanet was not always a trader, but she soon won over the heart of the wary Ammoren who took her as his wife. They had a lot in common and theirs was not always the best. It ranged from abusive to loving and raged. It was a relationship of passion and passion alone. but it resulted in chidren all the same. The first of their children was a boy they named Manorhat. Their second child was Morua who was soon followed by Amunet... And later, Amoret.
There's was a family of deceivers and devils. Their caravan was not well trusted. There was not a lot of trust amongst the caravan itself. Fights would often break out amongst family members and amongst members of the caravan. There would often be one part of the caravan breaking off... People came and went, though Ammoren's family, the core family, remained to make up the bulk of the caravan.
But it was not long after she turned five turns, that Amunet learned the first trick of her father's trade... Certainly the trick was to remain seemingly honest, but to try to use what you had around you to make as much as you could on every trade... They were, in some ways, should have been thieves for their dealings. And in fact, the worse the family became, the less business they did and the more they took to thievery when the opportunity presented itself.
It was this environment that the siblings were raised in, though lucky Manorhat was searched while the family was trading at a Gather and soon Impressed at the tender age of fourteen... but fourteen turns still takes its toll. But that still left three children in the clutches of an ever more devious group of merchants. She learned to play on sympathies, how to earn trust, and how to get things from people by acting as their friend. They all did...
It was not until Amunet's 18th turn that she would bond to a wher. They were at Nerat Hold for a Gather to trade their wares and some flitt eggs that they had been lucky enough to find. It was night. But there was excitement in the air. A wher clutch was hatching. It was not the most impressive clutch in the world. It was that of a couple of green mothers... Each with a single viable egg. One of the young - a green wheret - was agitated and ran out of the cave, leaving the Candidate it had been selected for behind... It was thought it would go wild...
But that wasn't quite what happened. Amunesk hadn't been looking for Amunet so much as trying to get away - the humans were frightening. They were horrible pink things... But she ran headlong into Amunet, knocking her over and scratching her arm with her teeth. This was the moment that would change everything as the young wheret tasted the blood of her handler... She licked at the cut and looked up at Amunet. Amunesk's hurt? Amunesk not want hurt... The Wher had bonded to her of all people - a fate that her family did not approve of. But either way... Amunet, even with her misgivings about the wher at first much rather remain and be trained as a wherhandler... then leave or have to be separated from her young wheret. She would have to take her with their family or watch her slaughtered, but she did not have the training that would allow her to know what to do to care for the poor little green - for small she was when she was first born.
So she watched her family leave with her sister and youngest brother to remain at Nerat and learn about Whers and how to care for Amunesk. however... Amunet was rather discontent with being a guard for a Hold. In fact, she didn't like staying in one place - she had learned to travel and to enjoy it her entire life. Besides that, she did not feel important enough. This was pointless. Day to day it was the same. There weren't enough subtle tricks to pull that would keep her interested for more than a few days...
And thus, she took a chance and pushed to find a way to transfer from place to place, even at one point, attempting to simply leave, though, of course, it could never quite work that way, not with how dangerous tings were with Thread and no group to protect themselves for very long. In time, however, she was able to negotiate her transfer to Mavros, a place where there was sure to be no end of tricks.
