Nadornith (nah-dohr-nith)
Agility: 4
Speed: 5
Endurance: 7
Size At Full Growth: 69 feet
Speaking Color: 3d4f30
Appearance
Nadornith, although technically average sized for a Bronze, seems to be leaning toward your typical Blue physique, slimmer than most Bronzes. He is long-limbed and lanky with less pronounced and obvious musculature than his Bronze father. His wings are on the short side for a Bronze which will cost him some endurance but also gain him some speed and agility uncharacteristic for his color. He is probably the darkest Bronze at Mavros, and possibly one of the darkest Bronzes on Pern. He almost seems to be black, but in the sunlight has a greenish-bronze sheen marking him clearly for what he really is. His hide is otherwise unmarked.
Personality
Sarcastic, Ambitious, Observant, Calculating
Most of the time Nadornith composes himself with a quiet dignity and will only rarely deign to speak to humans other than his rider, if at all. He is quiet among dragons as well, preferring to observe and listen to the gossip rather than participate in it. He is a very quick study, noticing almost instantly when things are out of place, able to read the mood in the air very well, and almost makes him seem ‘psychic’ at times simply because his observations lead him to logical conclusions, especially when something of import is about to happen. What he observes, he stores away to be used at the most opportune times. He likes to be steps ahead of his competition and is good at making sure he is just that. He sees. He knows. He plans. And only then does he move forward. When he does speak, it is rare that he won’t include some sort of sarcastic remark. He has a dry sense of humor that can often be offensive.
He isn’t likely to chase after Greens unless it is to prove a point. What that point might be might vary, perhaps the Green offended him or some human questioned his abilities, and he might even chase if his rider wills him to, but he’ll never chase a Green ‘just because’. He doesn’t like to waste his time on such frivolous endeavors and much prefers to wait for a Gold to rise. Siring a clutch is worth the chase and if there is the added bonus of making His Weyrleader, all the better. He is ambitious and what he wants he goes after with single-minded passion. He may have a tendency toward aggression during mating flights, especially those of Golds, for he is willing to do just about anything to get what he wants.
