NAME: Mastromideth (mast-rahm-ih-deth)
AGE: Hatchling (spring storms' clutch)
COLOR: Bronze
RIDER: G'rett (Originally Garrett)
RANK: ---
SPEAKING COLOR: C3C364
APPEARANCE:
Broad-chested, thick-limbed, and overall stocky in his build, Mastromideth promises to be a powerhouse of a Bronze. Muscles ripple beneath his pale tannish-bronze hide. In the sunlight his hide shimmers with an almost golden undertone. Atop his head and upon his wingsails there are dark greenish-bronze markings, giving the illusion at first glance that his hide is tarnishing. However, after taking a second look it is quite clear that these darker markings shimmer and shine just as much as the rest of his hide and only succeed in giving him a more distinguished look. Mastromideth will have no trouble at all lasting a full Threadfall, but he will be sorely lacking in speed and agility and may need to rely on the smaller colors to help him avoid serious Threadscore.
Size At Full Growth: 73 feet
ABILITIES
Agility: 2
Speed: 2
Endurance: 9
PERSONALITY:
Valiant, Clumsy, Loyal, Self-sacrificing
Mastromideth promises to be a heroic dragon, as befits a Bronze. He has a deep desire to help others and ensure their safety and happiness, whether they asked for or need his help or not. His success in such endeavors varies, however, for he is not a conscientious dragon, he is not aware of his bulk, and therefore quite clumsy. There will be times when his ‘help’ will cause more harm than it will good and his rider will need to be aware for him of situations that he might make worse. Whether Mastromideth listens to his rider’s advice is another matter, for even if his own life is in danger, he would rather sacrifice himself than watch another suffer or die. He is loyal without fault to his Weyr, his Wing, his clutchmates, and his rider, and he will rarely let anyone dissuade him from trying to make their lives better in any way that he can possibly come up with. His rider will also have to make sure to watch out for him extra well during Threadfall, for his desire to help others, to be the hero and to keep them safe, will often make him put himself in harm’s way rather than see another hurt, even if the other dragon could have avoided harm or saved themselves anyway.
When it comes to chasing, Mastromideth is somewhat unusual for a dragon. His loyal nature will not allow him to chase another dragon for some time after he catches a female; in this he seems surprisingly human. He will stay loyal to and dote upon any female he manages to catch some sevendays after the fact, chasing no others (except Golds of course, which instinct will drive him to do) even if they were only a Green. However, his large size and slow flight will make him unlikely to win most Green flights. If he has not caught any female within the last month, he will likely chase any female that rises until he does catch one.
