Appearance: Atlath is easily the largest dragon in his clutch, outsizing all his siblings handily. He takes after his mother in size, reaching 74 feet at full growth, and has thick limbs and enormous wings. He is mainly a vibrant coppery red-orange in color, with orange covering the top of his face and headnobs and appearing on his legs, fading into a brighter golden color on his paws and a pale sandy color on his wing tips. This golden color can also be found speckled over his wings, giving them a particularly sparkly look to them, while the pale sandy color is also found in stripes on his body and tail, and in distinct patches on his wings, bordered by a dark red-brown striping. His bright, unique coloration coupled with his intimidating size makes him an incredibly memorable beast.
Personality: Lazy, Flirtatious, Witty, Stubborn
Atlath is, often times, a frustratingly lazy dragon. He would much rather be sunning than doing just about anything else, and his entire existence seems to revolve around getting out of duties assigned to him and his rider so he can do just that. As lazy as he is, he still has a bronze’s will, and it will be quite a mental fight to break Atlath’s stubborn nature and make him do anything he does not expressly want to do. Atlath will use any means possible to attempt to get out of or at least put off doing any sort of work. He will whine, he will reason, he will come up with any number of excuses, attempt to feign illness or injury, and even use shows of aggression if he thinks it will help him get his way (though he will never actually hurt anyone, he will do his best to bluff). He will also have no qualms about ordering other dragons to do things in his place, something his rider will need to keep a close handle on.
He has no interest in leadership. He has no ambitions in life other than to enjoy himself. He cares very little for the opinions of others and does not have a stereotypical bronze’s ego. He does not require anyone’s respect or admiration and insulting him will get you little more than a passive dismissal, or if he’s feeling bored, you might get a witty, sarcastic response. He can be quite clever when he wants to be, but it usually expresses as snark rather than anything more productive. He has the potential to be a decent strategist if he ever put his mind to it, but he finds such things tedious and boring and would rather leave such work to others, thank you very much.
The one thing that does get Atlath moving is a good chase. This bronze will chase every female that rises, whether gold or green. Though his size puts him at a major disadvantage when it comes to greens, it won’t stop him from trying every time one rises to mate. Nothing less than a gold’s command will keep him from chasing. And when he’s not chasing he enjoys the company of female dragons, flirting openly with every one of them. This bronze will never be one of the rare monogamous sorts of dragons, that’s for sure. In fact it won’t be more than a day or two after he wins a flight that he’ll be out flirting with every female he can find again. Rejection doesn’t seem to faze him at all, as he’ll simply turn his attentions to a new female and forget it ever happened.
A decently friendly dragon, Atlath won’t mind speaking with humans besides his rider. While he might not generally start up these conversations, if addressed he will reply directly. He enjoys a decent conversation, and often tries to use them as an excuse for why he can’t do something. “I’m in the middle of a conversation, it would be rude to just stop and go do something else right now. I’ll do it later.”
