Ceela :: [smear:#e4a603]Goldeen Steleneth[/smear:#9dcf8b:0]
“Okay, stay here, my lil’ goldeen. I'm just going to run and grab a mid-day meal.” Ceela’s hands brushed down the dragon’s smooth back, admiring the slight shimmer to it. “Not that you’re going anywhere with that belly.” She whispered with a smile, holding back her giggle, since she didn’t want to rouse the baby dragon as she was drifting asleep. Her voice was light and the little hatchling knew that her newly bonded hadn’t meant it as a command, but still, part of her reeled at being told what to do, but sleep took her before she had the chance to act on the feeling.
As soon as the hatchling was asleep, all Ceela wanted to do was curl up and sleep with her. Steleneth wasn’t exactly… cuddly, not with the way she wanted to explore. And seeing her sleep made her own eye lids feel heavy, but her stomach ached from the lack of a real meal. Turns out that it was hard to focus on eating when one is wondering what their dragon is getting into, or even worried if she was safe from others and their opinions. She sighed, her face a lopsided frown as she finally got up and quietly left the weyrling barracks.
Ceela hadn’t quite finished eating when she felt her dragon rouse. She tried to mentally ‘listen’ to her dragon, but she wasn’t very good at it. Steleneth had awoken and remembered quite vividly the last ‘command’ that had been given her. After a long cat-like stretch (as if it flatten her rounded belly), she started out of the weyrling barracks and out to the beach. ‘Steleneth, dearest, where are you going?’ Steleneth brightened at the contact of her human. [smear:#e4a603]See?[/smear:#9dcf8b:0] The dragon tugged on the bond to show her human the sand – the way it felt under her paws. [smear:#e4a603]Look at this shell![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] She nosed it over and there was something still inside. [smear:#e4a603]Oooo.[/smear:#9dcf8b:0] She started poking at it, but a dragon had spotted her, and vice versa. [smear:#e4a603]Amagetith![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] She called, knowing the green would entertain her. However, she was somewhat disappointed, because the green seemed more in a talkative mood, and nothing that seemed to interest her. So she wandered the beach trying to hop on little sea creatures and dig in the sand, with Amagetith trailing behind and filling Steleneth in on the gossip of the Weyr.
Ceela was shoveling the rest of her food, keeping tabs on her dragon… she wasn’t the type to worry, but she’d also never had such a responsibility before. Never had anything so dear to worry about.
Meanwhile, the little goldeen was suffering through the gossip of the Weyr. Some was interesting, but mostly it was about dragons she didn’t know yet. Have you met my brother Codrath? He is a funny sort, always gathering all sorts of shiny new treasures. He hates it when we touch them, and it is so fun to tease him about it. He’s not very nice back. He doesn’t like to be teased. Oh, but his weyr, have you been there?
Steleneth looked up at the question, her curiosity piqued. [smear:#e4a603]No, I haven’t![/smear:#9dcf8b:0]
Amagetith beckoned Steleneth and she followed until they reached a path to a stairway that led to Codrath’s lair. No one who does not belong is allowed to go inside, or they get in big trouble. No one. Not even you. Can you believe it? I wonder what treasures he has in there. Steleneth didn’t respond even though she’d been emotionally triggered. Her green friend left her, telling her that she hadn’t told some other dragon something or another. Even before she was out of sight, the green gold dragon waddled up the pathway and into the Weyr.
A part inside Steleneth reeled again at the idea of someone telling her she could or couldn’t do something. No, not even some grumpy bronze could boss her around. Besides, she’d just take a look; there was no harm in that was there?
‘Stel… where are you adventuring to now?’ She was still getting to know her little lifemate, but it hadn’t been hard to pick up on her sensitivity to commands. [smear:#e4a603]I’m in a big stinky weyr! Oh, but look – would you look at this![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] The little legs waddled the dragon closer to the pile of… stuff. ‘Why… don’t I join you on the beach? Will you join me there?’ [smear:#e4a603]Why don’t you join me here![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] Ceela swallowed, her legs carrying her through the Weyr and toward the beach. ‘Well, that’s someone’s weyr. Did you ask before entering?’ [smear:#e4a603]No one was here to ask. Ooo, look at this one! Oh, Ceela – it’s like me![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] With her teeth she pulled a chain necklace with a green jewel on it. ‘Uhm… let’s maybe put that back. I'll be there soon, I'll find you a pretty shell!’ She felt her dragon's mind become still inside her mind, the dual nature coming out to fight, hyper-sensitive to the suggestion. [smear:#e4a603]I’m just going to borrow it, I’ll give it back.[/smear:#9dcf8b:0] Ceela all but smacked her head with her hand. Maybe if she could just find her she could help her understand that entering weyrs and… borrowing things wasn’t very kind.
The shimmery dual-colored creature dragged the necklace out of weyr and down the stairs and to the sand. [smear:#e4a603]Ohhh, look! It makes a cool trail in the sand![/smear:#9dcf8b:0] She walked backward in the sand, dragging the chain around so it made a snake like pattern in the damp sand. Ceela couldn’t help but giggle a little, she wondered if she had been like Steleneth when she had been younger.
