Appearance:
Sabellath is quite large for a green, and certainly the largest in her clutch. Not only will she be the longest at 44 feet at full growth, she is more solidly built than the vast majority of greens with impressively broad wings for her color, which will lend her more endurance than her sisters come Threadfall. A notable feature, her headknobs are quite bulbous, hinting at an increased sensitivity and her future as a Searchdragon. A muted, pleasant sort of blue-tinged green covers most of her hide, fading into a more yellow tinged green on her legs, tail, wing edges, muzzle, and chest. Dark green stripes crisscross her wings in a sort of lattice pattern and one large dark stripe begins at her muzzle and travels along her spine, covering her ridges, ending about half way down her tail. This dark color also covers her eyeridges and extends up to her headknobs. On each wing are two small spots of bright yellow-green with dark green slit-like markings in the center, looking eerily like eyes.Personality: Insightful, Inquisitive, Determined, Blunt
Sabellath has an old soul, hatching with a sense of wisdom one would hardly expect from one taking their first steps into the world. Her mind is almost always in a state of quiet contemplation as she observes the world around her. Should she find herself wondering why something is the way it is or how something works, she will not hesitate to ask, and she will prefer the opinions of many so that she might put together the clearest picture of the truth for herself and form her own opinion with as much information as she can gather. Bringing many very different perspectives together to discuss abstract concepts and philosophy will be a favorite pastime as she gets older, as she very much enjoys listening to and trying to understand opinions very different from hers and her lifemate’s. It is a wonder to her how very different opinions can be and she finds value in all of them.
Clever and perceptive, Sabellath is far better than most dragons at correlating seemingly unrelated things and inferring connections. Though she isn’t always correct, one can at least see how she might arrive at her conclusions, and as open-minded as she is, she is always willing to be corrected so long as you can show her the path you followed to reach your conclusions and aren’t just flatly telling her she is wrong and you’re right. She enjoys a good, friendly debate, so long as everyone remains civil and things don’t get too heated, and finds joy in such exercises even when she is proven wrong. Learning, expanding her definition of truth, is always a worthwhile endeavor and she lacks the ego to need to be right at all times. That isn’t to say she is easily swayed to agreement with others as she certainly has her own carefully formed beliefs and is more than willing to defend them.
In her quest for truth, however, she can at times get too intrusive. Understanding others is important to her, and so she has a habit of being rather nosy and inserting herself into the business of others whether she is welcome or not, asking questions that may or may not be entirely appropriate, and doesn’t always quite understand why this might be upsetting to some. Isn’t truth a good thing? Why wouldn’t someone want to speak their truth? Sabellath herself is entirely blunt in her honesty and though she does not lack tact and does her best not to come off too aggressive or rude, she just doesn’t have it in her to dance around a subject. If she has a question she will ask it, and if you in turn ask her something, she will give you the honest truth, whether that truth has the potential to hurt feelings, start drama, or not. Sabellath is not a dragon you tell your secrets, for though she is no gossip, if she is ever directly questioned about the matter she will not withhold an answer, and doesn’t at all have the ability to lie. Indeed if she ever finds she has been lied to, she will be incredibly hurt and won’t understand why anyone would speak falsely. In this she is more naive than in other matters - though not gullible per se, as she is certainly intelligent enough to determine ridiculous claims as falsities - but she may need her rider’s help to discern when someone is lying and she should not take their words at face value. Sarcasm and exaggeration also tend to go over her head most of the time, though with her rider’s assistance she can get better at recognizing them.
Determined in her pursuits, she is not afraid to assert herself where needed, and won’t hesitate to assert herself for her rider either. She is not a dragon that holds back and very much believes in pursuing what you want. For her that is truth, but for her rider that could be anything and she will do her best to assist her lifemate in those pursuits, particularly if she finds them holding themselves back needlessly. There is no higher calling for Sabellath than to help others find their own truths. As such she will be open to communicating with humans besides her rider, quite willing to speak for herself. Connections are important to her and when it comes to rising she will be far more likely to choose a male that either she or her rider already have some connection with. She will not rise as often as some greens, as though to keep distractions from her truth seeking to a minimum.
