NAME: Zelhirin

AGE: 22
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
DRAGON: TBD
PETS: Brown Torlo
FC: Alexander Ludwig
APPEARANCE: Zelhirin, stands at a height of 6’3” with broad shoulders, a thick torso, and muscled arms, creating an imposing figure that matches his personality well. He keeps himself in impeccable shape. He has sandy blond hair with natural light blonde highlights from the sun, all of which he keeps short or gelled back depending on the length. His face his generally set in a relaxed smile, with sparkling blue eyes. He sports a well-groomed goatee because he feels like it makes him look more mature, though at times you can find him with a beard as well (usually when most of his energy is focused on a time-consuming project or training). Zelhirin wears clothes appropriate for the work. Grungy clothes for when he’s working as a smith, and fine tailored clothes that accent his body when the occasion calls for it.
PERSONALITY FAULTS: Corrective, Impatient, Dominant, Ambitious
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: Confident, Energetic, Charismatic, Strategic, Perceptive
Romantic Relationships: Purely physical relationships are not unheard of. Sometimes they are easier, that is, until the woman starts getting attached. He’s not interested in attaching himself long-term to a woman he doesn’t see himself with in the long term, and so it will be hard to get him to commit. Once he does though…This aspect of his life is rich and wholesome. To be loved by Zelhirin is to know true love. The beginning of the relationship is both the toughest and most rewarding (if you can make it through). His emotional stoicism can confuse his lovers, and if she becomes too sentimental too quickly he can at times appear callous or distant. He won’t change who he is, just because he loves you, and he expects his woman to love him just the way he is. Those who push through will later learn that his love is abiding and strong and will see further glimpses of his internal nature. Beware. If he doesn’t see a future with a woman, he can end up dropping said woman quickly and efficiently (it may feel like whiplash). He won’t waste further time or energy coping with the emotional side of things if he doesn’t see it working out in the long term.

HISTORY:
Zelhirin was born seventeen minutes after his twin, Lizalia, to his loving parents Chizewlin and Hiralia. Even then, as a babe, he was considered large, especially next to his small twin.
As a child he was playful and ambitious, protective and slow to share vulnerable feelings. He began quickly to assert himself as a man, and his mother often called him her “little man,” which only strengthened his desire to be a strong, helpful, and powerful man. His father, a Master Smith, was always a little odd to him, but he had uncles, especially R’hir, to pattern himself after. His mother too, was a steady figure in his life, and with her perception and patience, she was always the one he felt more attached to out of his parents. The firm hand, boldness, and loyalty he has he believes comes from he. His twin, while also odd like their father, has just always been a part of him.
His life was a normal life. That of harper lessons, childhood fun, and chores. Being a responsible, driven, and intelligent child, he started shadowing his father at the young age of eight turns, to assist him. Chizewlin’s disorganized, chaotic way of working and living inspired the youth to follow him around, surely the man needed him, and he wasn’t sure how he got on before him. He officially became an apprentice at the age of ten turns, his father being a Master was able to get him (and his sister as she wished it) in earlier to begin.
As he aged and worked, he became stronger, harder, and more assured of himself. Scars were but testaments to his willpower. He always had time for play as well, and often found himself joining in on the fun and games, dragging his more solitary twin along with him, or joining her on any adventures she invited him on. By the age of 18 turns, he walked the tables and became a Journeyman Smith, a few months even before his sister (which he likes to tease her about). Now he works as a Journeyman, impatiently awaiting the time when he can walk the tables again. In his free time he's usually found surrounded by people or off adventuring with his siblings (usually his twin).
Lizalia:
She’s the person who is always there (except when she randomly goes traipsing about). She’s so much more creative than him, and since she keeps her creativity within the bounds of being pragmatic, he learns a lot from her in this region. To others she can appear odd, but he knows better, there is a calculated reason for her eccentric nature. She’s his Liza. Yes, she exasperates the shards out of him, and he’s constantly getting her/them out of sticky situations she’s putting herself/and sometimes them, in. But there’s a certain satisfaction he gains from doing it. She makes him take risks he normally wouldn’t. He saves her from recklessly harming herself. It’s a balance when it comes to them. They are more alike than one would think, as they share a boldness and forthrightness. She can keep up with him, and he doesn’t expect anything less from her. She meets his adventurous nature with his own, and they have spirited word battles. He rarely holds a grudge against her.
He may not realize it, but she’s the main reason he’s not more ‘traditional’ in nature. She’s so much a part of him he never considered her leaving to attend another “more suitable” Crafthall without him. Not that he would have allowed that. He’s very possessive of his Liza, and even more protective. He won’t let anyone mess with her, and he’s distrustful of most people when they give her too much attention, questioning their motives.
Chizewlin:
He sees the similarities between Chizewlin and his twin, and yet he still can’t seem to bond with the man. He doesn’t really feel like he knows the man all that well. Zelhirin’s not overly emotional or talkative when it comes to the deep stuff, and since his father is an oddity to him, their relationship is very basic.
Relationship with Hiralia
He’s always been more drawn to his mother then his father. In many ways, she’s much like him, protective, the steady hand, bold, perceptive. Much of who he is is shaped by her and her eldest brother. She has a way of softening his temperament, and while she was never able to help him with his patience, her own patience has left him with the sure knowledge of her love. He doesn’t understand how she can be so patient, with so many rambunctious children and a very odd husband, but through her he understands that a lifelong partner that accepts another for who they are is possible.
When he has problems he’s having trouble figuring out, he often will use his mother as a sounding board. They’ve gotten into debates during these sessions, sometimes heated, but her love has never wavered. This is one reason as to why his loyalty is unwavering, much as hers is. These debates have also built a respect for his mother. While she may be a housewife, she’s bright and bold, and can keep her kids in line; for the most part.
Relationship with R’hir
Since a young age, R’hir started visiting often, checking in on their mother, making sure the odd Chizewlin was taking good care of her, and them. He would tell them stories of flying, the Red Star’s passing, and the surety of Threadfall. He explained how many were non-believers, but that he himself would make sure his wing was in fighting condition, prepared for the inevitable fall of their old, nefarious foe. R’hir was a father figure in Zelhirin’s life, especially as his own father was often working, lost in projects, and more difficult for Zelhirin to understand. R’hir, even as a bronzerider, always seemed to make time for Zelhirin, and the rest of them. He took Zel flying often and taught him how to wrestle and spar with a dagger. He learned how to be what he considered was a real man from his uncle. When the bronze dragon would appear over their steadholt Zelhirin was always the first to welcome the bronzerider. As a child he worshipped the man, and now as a man he respects and loves him.
Zelhirin has always thought he would continue in the Smithcraft Hall. He’s a powerful builder, there is satisfaction in the work. Just not enough. He’s not interested in creativity in the work, it has a place, he understands it, but it doesn’t hold him in thrall as it does his sister. He’s started to get restless. Mastery is too far for his patience, especially as he believes his work to be quickly becoming equal to new masters. He has the work ethic to reach it, but he’s unsure the power that Mastery in the Smithcraft Hall would be enough for the thirst he has at it is.
R’hir has awoken something, he and his bronze, and that something is brewing. Just waiting to come to light. Waiting for an opportunity he never thought he would have. Dragonriding.

Zelhirin wears clothes appropriate for the work. Grungy clothes for when he’s working as a smith, and fine tailored clothes that accent his body when the occasion calls for it.
PERSONALITY FAULTS: Corrective, Impatient, Dominant, Ambitious
Corrective/blunt: If he sees something being done incorrectly, he will intervene immediately. He’s incredibly outspoken, and not afraid to be the bad guy when it comes to correcting individuals who threaten a goal, a person, or a project. He will see it done right; your feelings aren’t nearly as important, not when it comes to safety, or achieving the goal. He strives not to be cruel, but if taken off guard, or this is a second offense, his wording can be harsh.
Impatient: He has trouble with people who are led by their emotions instead of rationality or logic. He feels something akin to contempt toward people who are lazy and avoid work. Both of these can drive him insane, especially when he’s used logic and argument, and is unable to sway said individual or correct them. Repeated offenders usually will face his cold wrath and will be punished severely.
Dominant: He thinks the best defense is a good offense. He’s stubborn. He’s usually right, and if he’s wrong you better have proof and a good argument for him to believe you. Generally, he will use his words first; he likes a battle of wits and words, and it’s one of the only ways you can get him to really respect you. He can tend to turn ruthless even in this, and sometimes come off callous, though usually this happens when he’s angry or hurt. He’s got a tight handle on his temper, even if he does have one, and can appear cold and calculating when arguing his side (be it about a relationship or what material would be better for a project). He’s not adverse to force (he enjoys it even), and he will use it if push comes to shove, especially when someone is being extremely illogical or unsafe. If a family member is threatened, he will go straight to force-his temper has its limits, and his family is one of them-and you better hope Faranth shines down on you, or you can fight him off to live to see the next day.
Ambitious: He enjoys power. Enjoys what comes with power, such as adoration, respect, control. He likes that he’s strong, mentally and physically, and he will use that to gain power over others. He’s constantly looking to win more people to his side (doesn’t matter in what).
Emotionally Stoic: He has a hard time being emotionally vulnerable. There are few he opens up to (his twin, and his mother being the few, but even then he’s difficult). He understands that emotions are important, and he’s working on being less callous, but it’s extremely difficult for him to accept weakness in himself, and emotions like grief, fear, and doubt, are weaknesses he can’t afford to indulge in.
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: Confident, Energetic, Charismatic, Strategic, Perceptive
Perceptive: He may not be the smartest man in the room, but he’s quick witted and intelligent enough, and he’s really good with people, picking out their strengths and putting them to good use. Just because he can’t be emotionally vulnerable, doesn’t mean he isn’t aware of other’s and the emotions they are putting out. This helps him bank sticky situations before they arise, can help him put someone at ease, bolster them as needed, and so forth.
Charismatic: Generally, he’s a relaxed, happy individual, prone to lighthearted (usually) teasing and playfulness. He’s a social person, and has a way of attracting people to him, both with his words and general affable attitude. He’s got a silver tongue, and ready smile.
Confident: He doesn’t second guess himself or his decisions. When he makes a wrong move, he calculates how it occurred, makes the necessary corrections, and moves forward. He takes criticism with a grain of salt, and is more likely to view it with amusement or derision then anger.
Energetic: He has boundless amounts of energy and he’s incredibly driven. Point him in the direction of something that needs to get done, and by sheer force of will and hard work, he will have it done, in record time. Not only can he work hard, but he can play hard too. He likes to dance, sing, hike, run, spar, swim-if it’s active-he’s likely to enjoy and partake of it.
Loyal: He’s incredibly loyal to those he loves and respects, and you can trust him to have your back. Unless you are about to do something incredibly stupid, for which he will then protect you from doing, even if you hate him for it. No one can speak an ill or cruel word (unless it’s him, that’s different) about his friends and family. He’s utterly devoted and steadfast, an argument or disagreement won’t change his loyalties (though he won’t be the first to apologize either, probably).
Romantic Relationships: Purely physical relationships are not unheard of. Sometimes they are easier, that is, until the woman starts getting attached. He’s not interested in attaching himself long-term to a woman he doesn’t see himself with in the long term, and so it will be hard to get him to commit.
