NAME: Priyaanya (Pronounced Pree-ya-anya)
RANK: Aspiring Spymaster/Assassin
AGE: 28 turns
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: heterosexual
PETS: firelizard TBD
FC: Sarah Levy
APPEARANCE:
PERSONALITY FAULTS: Manipulative, Deceptive, Amoral, Proud/Stubborn
FAMILY:
Relationship with Piros: She calls him Ba. She takes very little from him personally, recognizing a lot of herself in him. She understands his tendency in losing himself to the job, and tries to be his anchor, though she could never expect him to be her anchor. She’s secure in his love because she sees how differently he treats her in comparison to her half-sisters, and she can *sometimes* see through his seeming insanity, although even she isn’t entirely sure of his sanity. She also understands that his love for her is much like his love for Piruntos, which is why she forgives him for his blindness, while at the same time curses him for it. Piros calls her by many names, Pri, Priya, Yan, Yani, Anya, and any other variation he comes up with when it comes to her name, which often throws people off, or makes them think he’s talking about someone else, a different daughter, or something.
Relationship with Piruntos: It’s extremely complicated. There is a mutual love there, but the ambition overrides the love. Piruntos doesn’t actually want to kill his youngest sister, she’s almost like a daughter to him, as often he was the one that had her in his home when his father was away. But he sees the way his father treats her much like him, and clearly, she’s a threat to him. He’s trying to kill her because he respects her and the threat she is to him. One could even go as far as to say he’s not trying *that* hard, seeing as he hires other people to do the work for him, and mostly just trying to scare her, though if she dies it does make things simpler for him. Priya respects him, especially because she can never find hard evidence that it’s him trying to kill her, and in some way she’s a little honored that he feels the need to eliminate her. She’s also envious, because as a woman, she knows she may never be anyone’s master spy (why hasn’t Piruntos thought of that?). She still loves him, but it might not stop her from killing him. Even if her brother is like a second father to her (he taught her to throw knives and watched her training often to assess the level of threat she was), and even if his kids are like the siblings her half-siblings never could be. Piruntos initially thought that the fire had taken care of her and mourned the loss of his sister, but when his agent failed to return after a couple of days started to suspect that she was in fact alive and well, especially after his father’s timely retirement, but for now he’s secure in his new position to let her live.

RANK: Aspiring Spymaster/Assassin
AGE: 28 turns
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: heterosexual
PETS: firelizard TBD
FC: Sarah Levy
APPEARANCE:
She’s a healthy mix between her father and mother. She’s got her mother’s freckles and beautifully shaped green-hazel eyes with naturally finely shaped eyebrows arching over them. She also shares her mother’s honey brown colored hair, which she keeps long, for so many reasons. She has her father’s large asymmetric lips (though her mother’s influential freckles pepper her lower lip), his high cheekbones, and general head shape. She is middling height, at about 5’5” with womanly curves. She also has muscle gained from scaling walls, crouching in dark corners and closets for extended periods of time, and knife and sword training.
There are certain imperfections that mar her exterior, including a large, ugly scar that starts just above her left temple near the hairline and extends down to her jaw, and then restarts at her collarbone and moves jaggedly down just past her left breast, mid rib. She is not ashamed of it, but it does make it easier to identify her, which is mildly annoying. For this reason, she’ll usually have her hair down, parted to the left when on missions to hide the scar.
Her right lower neck, down her shoulder, and down the arm all the way to the top of her hand is a burn scar, with patches of burns along right ribs, side, and thigh. While she is ambidextrous, her right hand is her dominant hand, but remains stiff, and sometimes causes her pains still. For this reason, and because it throws most combatants off, she’ll mainly use her left hand, unless facing off with an extremely skilled adversary, then she’ll use her right.
She prefers to wear dresses, mainly because it’s deceptive, makes her look innocent and harmless. It also gives her more places to hide weapons. Almost all of her dress’s pockets have slices in them so she can reach her weapons. She avoids pants and belts, especially when not on the job, because it chafes more at her burns.
While she can’t alter her base appearance, she is constantly disguising herself, especially on missions, and sometimes just for fun. She can look like an old drudge woman with some chalk in her hair, a bent back, and halting gate, or she can appear to be a noble lady with the gentlest of gaits. Her goal is to confuse even her family members, and she’s been taught well by her Ba.
PERSONALITY FAULTS: Manipulative, Deceptive, Amoral, Proud/Stubborn
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: Loyal, Driven, Strong-willed, Brilliant, Agile
Deceptive /Capricious: It started off as a necessary need for the job, and somewhere, somehow, it became a part of her. Her mood swings can make her appear as insane as her Ba, but beware, they aren’t always true reflections of her moods. Sometimes they are. She’ll act how she wants, unless she’s on the job or is afraid for possible job opportunities. She likes to keep people guessing, and she learned that from the best. She may want you to think she thinks something, only for later to argue against said thing vehemently a candle mark later. She may enjoy the attention of a man one day and despise it the next. She loves to swim but will swear she can’t and so forth. She is deceptive in looks as well, loving to disguise herself physically as well as emotionally and mentally. This is one of her main focuses, developing her capricious/deceptive nature, because it’s a necessary need if she ever wants to become a master spy. Plus, she kind of enjoys it. It’s a power play, and she loves those.
Manipulative/Amoral: See Capricious above and then tack on this: If she want’s something, she will do anything in her power to get it. She isn’t against killing, she’s even willing to kill her own half-brother (but he has it coming anyway). She will lie and cheat, you can’t trust her, so don’t. She will seduce as she sees fit, it doesn’t matter if the man is married, if it get’s her the information she wants (or puts her in a good position for getting something), she’ll do it. She loves manipulating, because again, it gives her a certain feel of power. She will take advantage of any information she gains if it get’s her or someone she cares about, what is needed. She gets a thrill of victory when done correctly. It boosts her confidence. There are few lines she won’t cross.
Proud/Stubborn: She believes she can be the best, she was better than Piruntos when he was her age, she will easily surpass him, she just needs the opportunity. She doesn’t give up, which is why she normally get’s what she wants. If she believes something, it’s near impossible to change her mind without solid evidence. She will press forward even if there’s risk involved, because she trusts her abilities more than the possibility of a poor outcome.
Loyal/Passionate: She loves deeply once she comes to love someone, and she will stick by them until the end. She has few people she loves this way, her father is one of them, and her love for him is the only thing that has kept her from killing her brother (well, and the fact that in their twisted relationship, she still loves him too-though in no way is she loyal to him). She has a special connection to her sister Tip, and her children, as well as Piruntos’s children (they are like siblings to her).
If she measures someone to be her superior, she’ll likely remain loyal to them, and if she gives her service to another, she most definitely will remain loyal. There are few things you can trust about her, but her service when promised can be trusted (though she will do the job her own way generally, depending on her mood).
Debt is also one of the funny things about her and her family. If they feel they are in your debt, their services can be called on to fulfill the debt. She also loves to hold debt over others so beware your dealings with her, don’t let her save your life unless she’s already in debt to you. It’s probably not worth it. If you need something, and she’s not in your debt, the best way to go about it is to bargain ahead of time. She loves a good, fair bargain (or unfair, if it’s to her advantage).
Her one weakness (which gives her some moral standing, but not much) is children. She loves them. Wants them. Spoils them. They soften her up. She’s far less likely to kill you if you have a child under the age of 10 (which is why she doesn’t like to get to know people, especially if she has to kill them). If she does kill you, she’ll take care of the child either by finding someone to care for it and paying for it or taking the child as her own (this very well may happen so she can be a mother, seeing as pregnancy/marriage is not a likely option for her).
Driven: She may be a tad obsessive when it comes to her job, but it’s what makes her good at it. She won’t give up. It makes her a valuable friend when she’s coming to your aid (though you may still owe her, at least it won’t be anything to painful to fulfill).
Brilliant: She’s observant and quick of mind. She loves to learn and be challenged. Her mind is constantly turning and processing, and she never forgets a face, name, or well anything.
Agile: She’s had years to learn to be light of foot, balanced, sneaky, fast, and able to blend in. This makes her more than capable of holding her own in a fight or going unnoticed. She will never have the advantage of the strength of a man, but she uses all of her other advantages, and it makes her a worthy spy.

Piros and Miaanya met fifteen turns after his last wife died. She was scandalously young, beautiful, lively, and one of the most honest people he had ever met. She made him feel young. They married, and immediately tried for kids, only to suffer a heartbreaking stillbirth. Two years later they successfully brought Priyaanya into the world, though she would not come to know her mother as just weeks later she would die of a uterine infection from complications from the birth (though there are rumors that she was poisoned). Priyaanya was given to a wet nurse, and her half-siblings helped take care of her until she turned five. She bounced from one household to the other, and at a very young age, Priyaanya learned that stability is unneeded. Around the age of five, Piros noted the agility with which she moved and her sharp intelligence, and resolved to care for her more, ignoring the pain he felt when he saw her and thought of her mother. The pain lessened when he realized what an adept student she was.
Piros took it upon himself to train her to be a master spy. She loved the work and the work loved her. He even started taking her on missions at the age of nine, because children can get into places and be perceived as innocent or a non-threat. She thrived, and Piros was thrilled by her. The whole family took note. Priyaanya’s sisters, though jealous of the attention she was receiving from their father, preferred the quiet life, married and having babies. Her brother though had also taken note, and young as she was, he still found her to be a threat to him, and his aspirations to take over for their father one day as Cove Hold’s Master Spy.
When she was fifteen she was on a mission, and she was supposed to circle back to the lodgings where she and her Ba were staying at, meeting her Ba there. But when she got there, she felt safe, and let her guard down, thinking Ba would be meeting her on the other side of the door, but when she entered, Priyaanya found a sword falling through the air for her head. Quick reflexes were the only thing that kept her alive that day as she flung herself backward, twisting to get out of the way, but not fast enough to escape the entirety of the blade. This is where she gleaned her large ugly scar. It is also when she killed her first man, her attacker. She almost bled out on the floor, but her Ba (who had been detained because he had noted a tail on his trail) found her in time and got her to a healer. Due to the fact that their current mission was neither dangerous nor all that secretive led them to investigating the attack, where they found that someone had hired the dead man to kill Priyaanya specifically.
After this, other missions ended up becoming compromised as well. Piros suspected a traitor, but was having difficulty finding the traitor. For years Priyaanya dodged multiple assassination attempts. She knew it was her brother, but Ba was too stubborn and blind to accept that. When Piros ended up leaving on a long-term mission, he would come back to find treachery, as their home was burned down while Priyaanya slept. He truly thought her dead. Lucky for Priya, she awoke to the sound of the would-be assassin starting the fire. She dragged him upstairs while the fire roared to life downstairs and tied him to her bed so that they would find a body and assume her dead.
When escaping the firey house, she ended up having to barrel into a wall on fire to escape, resulting in her wounds. Wounded, and hoping to be presumed dead, she went to the last person anyone would suspect. Asirikai. She suspected he was a little in love with her, and asked him to help by hiding her, just until her father got back.
She had expected when Piros got back, that together they would once and for all end Piruntos, who she was sure was behind the attacks. Instead, he tricked her. He told her he was sick and wanted to retire. Priya was torn between the love of the job and the love of her Ba, but in the end chose to allow her fake death to become permanent, and went away with Prios to care for him. He’s continued to teach her and guide her in the spy ways, and she grows restless. Still, even now knowing he had tricked her, he is old, and she cares for him loyally and would never willingly part from him. She’s resigned herself to a quiet life. Well, mostly. There are debts to be paid still, and when one of Piros’s old friends comes collecting, she makes sure she gets some of the action. She just wishes it wasn’t so few and far between.
What she doesn’t know is that Piros has other plans for her. Dreams. He will see her happy if it’s the last thing he does.
