NAME: Aerroth
AGE: 3 (Born 2nd Turn, 10th Pass
COLOR: Gold
RIDER: Talera
RANK: Queen
SPEAKING COLOR: ffb402
APPEARANCE: Large for a gold, Aerroth is a good eighty-four feet in length. The queen is without blemish or discoloration, with a clear sheen of bright gold throughout her entire body. Her eyes sit under arched ridges and above a sleek snout. Aerroth's headknobs are slim, with little bulbing at the tips compared to other dragons. Her limbs are lean while the tail is long, with a thick forking at the end.
Aerroth's wings are wide, giving her issue when walking along the ground; the gold must be careful when treading on soil, or she will give the appearance of waddling.
When in the sun, Aerroth gleams with what is usually considering a mating sheen; this quirk makes deciphering her nearness to rising all the more difficult.
ABILITIES
AGILITY: 4/10
SPEED: 5/10
ENDURANCE: 8/10
PERSONALITY: Aerroth is a haughty beast. Fully aware that she is a gold and because of this, a queen, she does not abide by the wishings of “lesser” beasts, and is insulted daily that she and her rider must follow the instructions of the “lowly” N'ven. As queen, all of the Weryhold is hers to claim, by sheer right of birth, and rarely can even Talera convince the dragon otherwise.
Aerroth strives to form Talera into what a proper Weyrwoman should be. The dragon scrutinizes everything from the clothes her rider prepares to wear, to how she conducts herself in the presence of “lesser” riders. Bronze riders are the only men worth her rider's time, and should Talera catch the eye of a hopeful brown or blue rider, she will likely be scolded.
Green riders aren't even men, and as such, Aerroth pays them no heed. The dragons themselves hold little worth to the queen, as they hardly have the sense the Egg gave them. Their riders make or break the Weyr, however, and Aerroth has a distinct interest in what goes on under her Rim.
Where Talera is concerned, the woman would have to try very hard to do any wrong in the dragon's eyes. Her rider was the best – is the best – out of all that stood the day that she hatched. To Aerroth's mind, she merely took so long to get out of her shells, so as to ensure that she wouldn't have to put some silly green in her place when she meant to claim her Talera.
The woman, on the other hand, is quite capable of manipulating her dragon into acting the way she'd prefer; a simple teasing can be enough of a scolding for the gold, and should Talera find something displeasing in her dragon, the queen is more than glad to change what might be “unfitting” for one of her rank – however, she is just as likely to impose the same restrictions on the other colors of dragons, as well.
If she has to deny herself something, why shouldn't they?
