NAME: Lepsuth
AGE: Hatchling
COLOR: Green
RIDER: Kalzen
RANK: Weyrling
SPEAKING COLOR: 33533f
APPEARANCE: With her sire Mastromideth and dam Sularenth being quite impressive in size, it is to be expected that their clutch contains many large hatchlings, but Lepsuth is an exception to the rule, to an extent. She is very clearly the smallest dragon in her clutch and at full growth will only be 35 feet. However, she is not lithe and sleek as most greens and is actually quite sturdy. Actually, she tends toward chubby, with stubby legs and a short tail, and long, narrow wings which rather dwarf her. Interestingly, she also has an extra toe on each of her forepaws. Her color is mainly a muted forest green, with pale minty green covering her entire neck, down over her shoulders and forelegs, on her hind paws, and over her muzzle, with a blaze up between her eyes, leaving only a dark mask of forest green on her head.
ABILITIES
AGILITY: 7
SPEED: 9
ENDURANCE: 2
PERSONALITY: Timid, Quiet, Sensitive, Affectionate
A cautious dragon, Lepsuth is easily startled and is frightened of most new experiences. As timid as she is, she will constantly run to her bonded for support and protection, trying to hide behind them even when fully grown. But with trust that only comes from a deep and all consuming love, her bonded may be able to convince her that the world is not as scary as she seems to think it is and that trying new things is fun rather than frightening. Ever hesitant to step outside her very small comfort zone, it will take plenty of coaxing from her rider before she’ll agree to take the first step, but once she has and nothing terrible has happened, she will be far more willing, at least for a time. Unfortunately she is bound to forget that she’s decided new things are not that bad and the conversation will need to be had all over again next time. If nothing else, this green is a great lesson in patience.
A generally quiet dragon, while she won’t mind having conversations with her rider, she certainly isn’t a dragon that will ever talk to other humans except in dire circumstances. She will even be hesitant to interact with other dragons, though if she happens to make a few draconic friends they will be exempt from her quieter nature. Boisterous personalities are likely to scare and overwhelm her, however, so she’ll likely only choose to interact with calmer dragons if she can help it. She is also quite sensitive emotionally and will need her rider to help keep her grounded and reassure her. She tends to overthink and generally comes to negative conclusions if her rider isn’t careful to ensure her that her fears are unfounded, and no, everyone doesn’t hate her because she doesn’t talk to them enough. She takes insults and criticism rather hard and absolutely can’t stand shouting, tending to try to cower behind her rider when voices are raised.
But Lepsuth is an incredibly sweet dragon, and for all the trouble she causes her rider, she will be even more loving. Quite affectionate, she will crave physical touch and will absolutely try to cuddle with her rider, even when fully grown. Her rider will never doubt her love for she will express it openly and often. And should her rider ever require the reassurance they give her on a regular basis, she will find some hidden reserve of courage within her to do her best to comfort them, even if the situation frightens her just as much, or more.
She will not rise as often as some greens, and will be quite a sucker for flattery during her flights. Males that tend toward violence in the chase will have little chance with her, frightening her off, but she will favor kind sweet talkers, and will likely come to have a favorite or two which will end up catching her more often than not.
