The weyrling barracks is located in the same cave system as the Beastcrafter's Cothold. Riders in training thus have direct access to Lake Ildath and very little access to distractions from their studies.

Board Description
Beastcrafter Cothold
The weyrhold's beastcrafters have taken up full time residence in a system of dry caves in the Eastern Plateau. From there, they can oversee the animal enclosures more closely, and better fulfill their work. Most crafters and holders who are not directly affiliated with the weyr or with the Fishcraft have chosen to join them, since the fisher caverns are rather damp and unpleasant to live in.
