Model: Gretchen Lyn
#2649391
NAME: Mollin
RANK: Weyrling
AGE: 24 (Born 18 Turns before the beginning of the Pass.)
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Bisexual
DRAGON: Blue Daltilith
APPEARANCE: Mollin is a tall woman, standing at a rough five feet, ten inches. Her hair, cut short and naturally wavy, is a mix of sandy brown and the lightest of red. Mollin's eyes are a pea-green and sit above a straight nose. Her lips are full, but sit awkwardly on a thin face. Her chin rounds off, giving the young woman a rather childish appearance.
Generally, she can be seen in light tunics and wherhide pants. Her glasses, when not at her face, can usually be seen dangling from her collar.
PERSONALITY FAULTS: Mollin has a terrible sense of humor, and is more than willing to inflict it on others as she sees fit. She has a tendency to clash with those of a more traditional mind, disregarding rank should they overly offend. Over the Turns within the Weyr, the girl has gained a small prejudice against her holdborn peers, finding them too stiff in their upbringing. As an aside, the young woman is a horrible flirt, and will hit on anyone that catches her interest. Unfortunately, the also includes those that have no interest in her. This, whether or she realizes it or not, is a way for her to cope with uncomfortable or stressful situations. Since her time in relative quarantine, she has been more prone to acting out; she hates feeling confined or boxed in, and will try to break free from those feelings by looking for "adventure" (read: trouble), and this has a great potential to be harmful, though she does not quite yet understand that this sort of behavior is not a healthy way to cope.
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: Mollin's greatest strength within the Weyr is acceptance; the girl had no issue in welcoming weyrlife, as she never quite fit into Hold standards. Openly vocal when it comes to her desires, she is more than capable of voicing her opinions and wishes in a well-formed manner. Sensitive to the needs of others, Mollin is quite capable when it comes to easing a friend's temper or misfortune. Rather outspoken for those that do not fit the expected mold, Mollin outright despises bullies, and will attempt to come to the aid of the underdog, regardless of the odds.
Headstrong, the girl is confident in her attained knowledge and quite aware of her personal limitations. An avid reader, Mollin is well-versed in the history and geography of the region, and could likely survive well on her own if need-be.

HISTORY: Mollin was born in a small cothold in an outlying region of Nerat. Her parents, raised in the local community of woodcutters and carvers, never held designs on leaving the quiet village. Mollin herself grew up learning the trades of the home: baking, sewing, minor woundcare, and routine cleaning – woman's work.
She hated it.
When Molls was two, her mother gave birth to another girl: Elisia. At four, Mollin was given twin brothers: Canyl and Mettil. While there was no shortage of love in Mollin's heart for her siblings, she soon grew envious when it was realized that the boys would begin to apprentice under their father, while Mollin and Elisia would remain confined to the home. When Elisia married at the far-too-young-to-Mollin's-mind age of fifteen and pressure was on the then-seventeen-year old Molls to do the same, enough was enough.
Mollin attempted to run away to the Weyr.
She got as far as the edge of the woods before getting lost within them. Having never been allowed much time in the forest, the paths were difficult to navigate.
Mollin remained three days within those woods, hungry, thirsty, and wondering when she'd be reined back into the hold.
Instead, a young weyrling found her, the lad being on leave to send messages between Weyr and Hold. His blue sensing a need in the fatigued young woman brought her back to Ista Weyr in hopes to improve her life.
Soon after, it was agreed that the girl would make a well-enough candidate, as while she didn't have the necessities to be a likely Impression for a gold, she could fit in well enough with a green – or, short of that, work within the kitchens as she already held the skills for it.
At least the Weyr didn't find it suitable for just women to work in the caverns; Mollin was quick to settle in. Six months into her new life, she sent word with a messenger to her former smallhold of her health and well-being.
She found in reply that Elisia was pregnant with her first child.
To Mollin, it only insured her reasoning for fleeing the wooded town.
Turns waned, and Mollin remained within the barracks. At twenty, she was offered to Mavros; having not Impressed within Ista for three Turns, the Weyr thought it best to leave her for another.
And it was at Mavros where she met the love of her life: Daltilith.
Months into their training, it was discovered that Mollin was pregnant from a fling with the Weyrleader A'zael before Daltilith's hatching, and she was taken out of weyrling classes. Following shortly, she fell into a heavy depression, exacerbated only by the months of solitude within the infirmary and creche. Now that she has returned to weyrling training, it is expected for her to improve around peers once more.
