Name: Perialith
Pronunciation: peer-ee-ahl-ith
Inspiration: Imperial Moth
Egg: Rebel
Speaking Color: a9583b
ABILITIES
Agility: 2
Speed: 4
Endurance: 8
Appearance: Perialith is a massive brown, his body built more compact and heavy with muscle, his neck and tail noticeably shorter than most dragons, which only means his bulk at his length is even larger than dragons of a similar size, which will be 64 feet at full growth. His wings are broad and expansive and perfectly sized to carry his bulk with ease. While he will never be agile, nor terribly fast, he will easily keep up with his bronze brothers when it comes to endurance. His colors are rather striking and make him easily confused for a bronze at first glance, until one realizes there is no metallic sheen to his hide. He is mainly a vibrant golden brown color, fading into a lighter variation along his underside and at his outer wings. Over this golden brown are speckles in various shades of brown, from a darker chocolate brown to a sort of ruddy red brown over the lighter parts of his hide. Over his legs, back, up over his wingarms covering most of his inner wingsail, along the edges of his mid and outer wingsails, half way down his tail in a jagged pattern, and over his eyes and headnobs in a sort of mask, is a red brown color like clay that fades into a darker brown color or a lighter red brown color at various points, leaving him with a rare asymmetrical coloring.
Personality: Honest, Arrogant, Ambitious, Loyal
Perialith tends to be honest to a fault, shaping him into a trustworthy friend, but an obtuse and blunt dragon. He thinks honesty is the best policy, even if it hurts, because if it hurts, something probably needs to change. His outlook on this personality trait is slightly naïve, and makes him all the more endearing. Sometimes. But as he isn’t a dragon to sugarcoat things, you can always be sure you’re getting the most honest answer possible from him and if you are looking for critique, he is the perfect dragon to go to. His blunt honesty may come off harsh at times but it is never outright cruel. He is not honest to hurt people’s feelings on purpose, after all, it’s just sometimes an unfortunate side effect for more sensitive souls, or for people who are looking for empty reassurance rather than actual truth.
This brown has a go big or go home attitude and never does anything by half measures, with an incredibly intense nature. Due to his larger stature and his bold coloring, he tends to be more arrogant and prideful, making him more reckless and fearless during Threadfall. He has the attitude that he and his rider are the perfect pair and no Thread can catch them, which can obviously lead to accidents if his rider doesn’t temper this with control. He is determined and persistent and tends to be patient when it comes to what he wants. If he doesn’t get it, his temper flares quickly, and dies just as quickly, leaving a cold, detached, analytical attitude to try again. Perialith is no quitter, he does not give up once he’s set his mind to something, and he can be quite aggressive in the pursuit of his goals.
Perialith loves his rider intensely, and any human that loves his rider as well. He goes to great lengths to keep his rider happy but thinks that power and love are important in any human life, which is why he is adamant about getting it for his rider by mating with a gold. Due to his ambition he will likely see bronze dragons as his biggest competition and will tend not to like them, but can be won over and is fiercely protective of any who fly within his Wing. His Wing will become something like an extended family to him, and particularly as he desires leadership for himself and his rider, he will see it as his duty to protect them. As a leader he may be a bit demanding, with high expectations of those under him, but it is only because he knows his wingmates are capable of being better and he strives to help them reach their full potential.
His natural pride leads him to ambition and a desire for his human to have it all: power, fame, and love - which leads him to chase after all the golds. He tends to think greens are more beneath him and that he, and his rider, deserve better. He will on occasion chase a green in an attempt to blow off some steam, or if his rider really wants him to do so, as making his rider happy is his primary goal in life. He usually only speaks to his rider, where humans are concerned, but may sometimes speak to others that his bonded is close to.
