Srunae, Gold Danovelith
Azora. A pretty name; the influence of A'zael's own was pretty clear as well. "What a lovely name." Srunae said, smiling softly. The girl was a pretty little thing overall - blonde and blue-eyed like A'zael, and built willowy as most children were. She glanced briefly at A'zael, who seemed to be conversing with his bronze judging by the glazed look in his eye. The weyrling watched Azora scoot closer to her, and chuckled at the girl's determined tone. Before she opened her mouth, however, the squinting child gave her a characteristically A'zael grin, and asked her a rather bold question. Surprised, Srunae found herself at a momentary loss of words. What... did she love A'zael? The weyrling's surprise was quickly covered by A'zael's interference, however, as the bronzer garnered the child's attention again.
Bold indeed. Saved for the time being from having to answer a... difficult question. While the pair exchanged their amusing commentary, Srunae took a moment to consider the thought. She... she might love A'zael. That would explain... a few things. Why her heart would beat so fast when he was around, why it was difficult for her to tease and flirt back (besides her own shortcomings) when he would poke at her. Perhaps... perhaps she had taken an... interest in the man that was more than just... platonic. While she mused over this, her smile only grew; Azora was matching A'zael tit for tat, and Srunae had to admit - she thought she would never see him so blatantly at a loss for words. He always seemed so confident, so put together... it was extremely amusing (and heartening, actually) to see him floundering so much like she would. The little girl certainly had won all the verbal sparring matches at this point.
Srunae stifled a chuckle, curling one hand before her lips as she looked down at Azora's expectant face. "Oh no, it's no trouble." She said, smiling warmly as she glanced at A'zael's now extremely startled expression. The weyrling absently wondered if the man had been this... forward himself at her age. "My name is Srunae. It is very nice to meet you, Azora." She offered the child her hand to shake if she was interested. She felt Danovelith's presence questioningly at the back of her thoughts, and she sent the gold a reassuring wave of comfort as the dragon rifled through her thoughts. I did not know Fath's had a hatchling... I don't think A'zael knew he had a child, darling. As for Azora's other question... did she love A'zael? "And... I can't say I have decided on how I feel about A'zael yet, actually." Srunae looked thoughtful, dark hair trailing over her shoulders and now more brown-green eyes laughing good-naturedly. Fair shifted over her Pet's hair, tail loosely wrapped around Srunae's neck while the pale green looked curiously at the mini-Pet, her eyes whirling greens and blues. Who was this little Pet? "What do you think, Azora? Is he a good match?" She grinned now, a sly curve across soft lips, as she glanced back over at A'zael.
Children were a great segue into innocent teasing, after all. Might as well make use of it.
Danovelith chuffed lightly and shook her delicate head. Honestly, Fath's never did seem to be in the best of situations when Hers would come calling, did he? You can always ask Fath, you know, if you would like. Danovelith supposed this was true, and after giving it some thought - as the bronze had to have been busy with this... previously unknown hatchling - gently brushed at the back of Fath's mind again. Fath, your ledge would not happen to be large enough to accommodate me as well, would it? It wouldn't do for the gold, delicate as she was, to try and fit upon the bronze's ledge if there wasn't even room enough for him, after all.
