NAME: V'rat (most often goes by just Rat)
RANK: Dragonrider/Fishercraft
AGE: 22
GENDER: male
ORIENTATION: Pansexual
PETS: Pepper, a female black sable tunnelcat
APPEARANCE: V'rat is medium height, about 5'10 and thin. He's still growing into his post-puberty build, but he'll probably always be a little skinny. He has dark brown hair that goes to his shoulders, and it's always a little scruffy. He has angular features and a rather long nose that has a bump on it from when he broke it as a child. His eyes are a bright, vivid green, and one of his best features. He has a charming, slightly crooked smile.
(PB: Miles McMillan)
PERSONALITY FAULTS: He can't sit still, for one thing. If forced to sit in a classroom or other formal setting, he'll fidget constantly. Vadarat also has a knack for mischief, and sometimes what he sees as innocent pranks can offend others. He has a hard time holding his tongue, too, and tends to blurt out whatever comes to mind. Unused to indoor, land-based etiquette, he often comes off as rude to normal Weyrfolk. He can be impulsive, both in word and action. Mercurial, he can swing from cheerful and upbeat to moody and angry in the snap of a finger. His bad moods can be explosive, but they usually don't last long.
Oh, and there's also the whole pirating thing...yeah.
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: He is outgoing and friendly, and usually makes a judgement on a person only after getting to know them. A sociable person, he loves to be around people and he doesn't know the meaning of the word shy. When he's in a good mood, he likes to share the joy, trying to cheer up the people around him.
Although he is a Fishercrafter, Vadarat is also artistically and musically inclined; if he had been born into different circumstances, he could have been a Harper. He likes to sketch and make simple jewelry using artistic knot tying and trinkets he finds around as charms. He has a good singing voice and can play the pipes, and he loves music and dancing. He is good with his hands, and despite his fidgety nature he can also concentrate for hours when it comes to building or fixing something. A good way to get him to actually sit still is to throw a puzzle or riddle at him to think about.
FAMILY:
Trevar, Fishercrafter at Mavros Hold
Rinna, Fishercrafter at Mavros Hold
Brentan, older brother, at Tidewalk Hold
Kadrien, older sister, at Tidewalk Hold
Verna, older sister, at Tidewalk Hold
HISTORY: Born in Tidewalk, Vadarat moved with his parents to Mavros when the Weyrhold was founded. At the time, he was too young to strike out on his own, unlike his older siblings. His family had been Fishers for generations, and they settled into the new Weyrhold easily. Rat began his apprenticeship soon after arrival. He had been on the water for most of his life, but now he began learning the craft in earnest.
Life at Mavros wasn't easy, and in recent years the Fishers have turned to raiding other ships and ports to get supplies. Vadarat joined in with the piracy, willing to do anything to help the Weyrhold.
Until he was accidentally Searched. He Impressed to a Brown at the next Hatching, and is now settling into a new life on land as a weyrling.

Brown Killith – Looks to Vadarat
Agility: 4
Speed: 4
Endurance: 8
Size At Hatching: 6.4 feet
Size At Full Growth: 64 feet
Speaking Color: 632B1F
Appearance
Killith would be a fairly unremarkable Brown to look upon, average and not particularly memorable, were it not for one flaw, a birth defect. Killith is missing his left forepaw. Everything else about him is completely normal and perfectly well formed, however, his left foreleg ends in a rounded stump. For whatever reason, he simply never formed a left forepaw within his egg and now here he is, hatched and without one. Needless to say this affects his movements quite a bit, but with practice he will learn to hobble along decently on the ground. However, because of this will always prefer flying to walking; even if the trip is short and should not require flight, he will insist upon it. Killith is otherwise a very typical Brown, chocolate in color and completely unmarked. Well muscled and clearly a powerhouse in the sky, he will have no trouble at all lasting a full Threadfall. He is on the larger end of the color spectrum and will be 64 feet at full growth.
Personality Adventurous, Rebellious, Womanizer, Fearless
Killith is the complete opposite of everything one would expect from your stereotypical Brown. The first thing one would notice about him is of course his missing forepaw. It is really the only point of insecurity for the Brown and he will INSIST upon flying everywhere to avoid making a fool of himself hobbling along on three legs. Besides this, however, quite contrary to his otherwise very unremarkable appearance, Killith has an incredibly memorable mindvoice. Silky and seductive, hinting at some mystery only Killith knows the answer to; Killith’s mindvoice draws others in easily, rich and enticing. Coupled with his natural charisma, Killith finds it easy to persuade others to follow him. Regardless of his own leadership abilities, Killith has a horrible problem with authority. He can’t stand rules and regulations and being bossed around. Killith is likely to rebel against these things as much as possible and will often require direct orders from a Gold or Bronze to actually follow them. What Killith really wants is to explore, to see more of this world he is so instinctually driven to protect, to meet as many people and dragons as possible, to live free and do as he pleases. Unfortunately for a dragon, such a life isn’t entirely possible, hence his rebel nature. Killith has a natural rivalry with Kinth and will do anything he can to show him up. The fact that Kinth is Bronze just makes his rivalry with his brother more intense.
Of course, suitable for a dragon with a mindvoice many would describe as seductive, Killith is a horrible womanizer. He flirts with dragon and human females alike and is likely to be one of the least monogamous dragons anyone has ever met, even by dragon standards. He will participate in every chase he possibly can, Gold or Green matters not. He will also be ruthless in the chase, tending toward violence toward his competitors, willing to do just about anything to win. Should Kinth be chasing, he’ll do whatever it takes to ensure his brother does not win the chase, even if it costs him the chase as well.
