NAME: Pallath
AGE: 21 months
COLOR: green
RIDER: R'get x
RANK: wingrider
SPEAKING COLOR: b1e488
APPEARANCE:
Her green coloring is yellow and faded; a refrained, muted, and sophisticated look. She is robust; leaning on the larger side for a green, with an athletic frame and a fine blocky head. Her talons are short and stubby: her movements are efficient and smooth.
ABILITIES:
AGILITY: 8
SPEED: 7
ENDURANCE: 3
PERSONALITY:
Valiant, Practical, Highly Conscientious, Aloof, Determined
When Pallath perceives something to be necessary, no matter how unpleasant or difficult a task, she takes it on without question.
She won’t lecture or be patronizing when she sees her R'get doing something she doesn’t approve of: she will simply refuse to participate, and may very well even challenge his authority when she thinks he needs to be putting more effort into something, for both their sakes.
Likewise, though she’s as subject to the telepathic authority of larger colors as any other green, she won’t hesitate to take action if another dragon is making decisions she considers poor. She will take any and all possible steps to try and clean up others mistakes, and protect her wingfellows from the fallout of inefficient orders or unexpected disasters. Pallath takes pride in looking out for those around her, and considers it her responsibility to intervene when there’s trouble – even if she doesn’t necessarily always take pleasure in doing so.
Pallath will not take well to having her capability impugned - but is likely to react only by giving the offending party a cold shoulder, and throwing herself harder than ever in drills or other physical exercises, rather than lowering herself to verbal spats or brooding. She's capable of directing her anger and frustration into self-improvement, rather than making a situation worse by lashing out at others. However, she doesn’t have much patience for troublemakers – since they make messes she feels honor-bound to help clean up.
While R'get connects easily with others, Pallath's nature can distance her from them. Her sheer physical presence and her brusque capability in the air, while they will make her a mainstay of any wing she fights in, may make her come across as a bit intimidating. Her pain threshold is considerable: this is a dragon who may not even notice minor injuries until the day after they occur. This, of course, drives R'get up a wall; he hates to see her in pain especially when she seems not to feel it.
The opinions of other dragons - particularly the ones she perceives as sensible - do matter to Pallath, but she'd be the last one to admit that what everyone else thinks has an effect on her actions. She strongly dislikes seeing individuals abandon principles for the sake of pleasing other people, and will not hesitate to tell them so if she thinks it will help amend their behavior. However, she prefers to try and do so by example – realizing it’s more practical than lecturing – and thus does her best to set forward an example of dutiful service and stalwart good sense for all those around her.
Pallath holds others to the same high standards she holds herself, and this is both a blessing and a curse. It means she’s capable of achieving great things- but also capable of becoming frustrated and isolating herself, when others prove to be less interested in working towards the constant improvement of the group at large than she is. She needs a lifemate who will always be there to soften her edges, sweet talk her and draw her back into the fold – and who’s easy-going enough himself to tolerate her missionary zeal on a daily basis, without butting heads with her at every moment.
Despite her rough exterior, Pallath depends on serving a function for other dragons: on feeling as though she is needed. A Pallath who has alienated the very fellows she tries so hard daily to look out for would be a dragon without a purpose.
This green may border on micromanaging when she hasn’t been able to drill in a while: she’s very athletic, and having excess energy makes her restless.
