| Weyrs (2 sub-boards)
The eastern sea cliffs are honeycombed with natural caverns, which are slowly being converted for use as dragon weyrs. Accommodations are spartan: the dragons must sleep on stone, there is no running water, and a few caverns don't even have ledges suitable for landing on. Only certain weyrs are accessible by ground, and almost everyone has a roommate, or "weyr-fellow", to share space with. You can reference the weyr assignment list within this board to learn more about your rider's accommodations.

| Lower Caverns (5 sub-boards)
Ground and near-ground level caverns are located here for non-rider weyrfolk and candidates, along with communal, shared caverns.

| Harbor Cave (1 sub-board)
Mavros' docks are located inside the large, half-flooded cave which shelters the fishing fleet, and are accessible both from the shore and from the fisher caverns.

| Cliffside Shore
This wide beach follows the line of the cliffs. From here the harbor cave, the fisher caverns, the bathing caverns, the candidates' caves, and the weyr caverns can all be accessed.

| Height of the Cliffs
The black cliffs which overlook Mavros Bay serve as a sort of "weyrbowl rim" for the settlement, and are a favorite roosting spot for dragons.

| Mavros Bay
A number of natural cave systems riddle the sea cliffs which enclose the waters of Mavros Bay. Fishercrafters have claimed the caves in the eastern arm of the cliffs, while the weyr occupies the more numerous systems on the west side.

| Greater Mavros |
| Beastcrafter Cothold (2 sub-boards)
The weyrhold's beastcrafters have taken up full time residence in a system of dry caves in the Eastern Plateau. From there, they can oversee the animal enclosures more closely, and better fulfill their work. Most crafters and holders who are not directly affiliated with the weyr or with the Fishcraft have chosen to join them, since the fisher caverns are rather damp and unpleasant to live in.

| Mount Chariath
The hatching cavern is located on the slopes of Mount Chariath, and is accessible only on dragon-back. Its sands are naturally heated.

| Height of the Eastern Plateau
The top of the Eastern Plateau. Accessible by a rough, rocky path at its lowest point: this clearance was widened recently into a slope by the island's stone-crafters, to allow the ascent of half-grown dragons on foot.

| Ildath Lake
This clear lake, named after a particularly heroic Green who perished during the Threadstorm, serves both Beastcrafters in need of fresh water and dragons in need of baths.

| Herdbeast Pens
The weyr's herds are kept in fields close to the beasthold. At night, a watchdragon stands guard, when whers cannot be spared from their stone-crafting work to patrol the perimeter. The risk of felines raiding from within the Red Wood is a real one.

| The Fields
What little farming is done on Mavros is done here, near the beast pens: the holders cultivate grains and vegetables to supplement their diet, which otherwise consists of a good deal of fish.

| The Red Wood
The massive conifers which grow on Mavros cover the larger portion of the island and grow up the slopes of Mount Chariath. In the mornings they are wreathed in mist: in the afternoons, sunlight filters down between red branches to the forest floor far below. Felines lurk within: entering deeply into the wood without reason is officially forbidden, though not all islanders adhere to the rule.

| North Coastline
The waters directly north of Mavros, where the coast is riddled with shallow bays. Shipfish and their young can find a safe haven here from the open sea.

| Fishing Waters
Fishercrafters cast their nets daily in the waters around Mavros. Fully grown shipfish favor the area, and sometimes can be sighted very close to the boats.

| Height of the Little Island (2 sub-boards)
Dragons often congregate on the top of the Little Island, located on the far eastern side of Mavros Bay. From its rocky heights, one can get a fine view both of the sea and of greater Mavros.
