Karo and brown Gargerrith
Are you suuuuure I can't come? Gargerrith rolled over in his wallow, looking up at his bonded with pleading eyes. Whatever feasts are, they sound suuuuper fun! He shook himself a little, biting at the air and grunting.
'Nah. Don't think they'd allow ya there.' Karo finished buckling her pants and examining herself. It was her usual wear on the boat...and just about the only clothes she had. Running away from a pirate ship didn't exactly entail packing her bags. It made things inconvenient when she had to wash, which she really didn't do much of anyway. You should. I love you, Karomine, but you stink. Gar sniffed. Karo huffed at him.
Oh, right, pirates. Karo thought about the incident. It'd left her feeling numb for days, and even now she wasn't feeling much better. She hoped the Feast would make her feel better; even if she couldn't drink -sharding rules keeping her from her ale-, food usually lifted her spirits. She'd even decided to convince Aleni to come along, so they'd go together- as friends, of course. Their discussion chilled her still, and she made sure that she would keep it as friends. It was hard to believe she felt that way about girls, and Karo still tried to convince herself that it wasn't true. Wasn't that wrong? Aren't you going to this feast to cheer yourself up? Don't think that's gonna help.
'Shut your whore mouth.' Karo sighed. She needed to keep her head together; being on the mainland made her weird. But, it was better than being on The Bronzer, with her kidnapper father and brother. Aleni's probably ready by now, with all the time ya took to hate yourself. By the way, you're not broken, you're perfect, blah blah. Gar mused, rolling over once more.
'She probably is.' She had to disagree about the perfect thing -C'mon man, I just told you- but Aleni was probably ready. "Aye, Aleni, ya ready? Let's go and get Miz." They'd be the weirdos at the feast, but at least they'd be a pack of weirdos going together.
