Mari was at a loss as the little pet she had managed to bond to went scurrying under her bed, then up the bed and over the covers. It was the second time the little blue sea spitter had done it that day, though at least this time he wasn't melting the corners of her blanket. Sonath wasn't entirely sure what to think about the little creature either, but she found him to be somewhat entertaining. She whistled as it scurried around, causing it to stop and look over at it's much much larger companion, who was resting in the hall with her head and neck shoved in her room. The pause in his movements was just enough for Mari to get her hands on him again, pulling it to her chest to love on him a bit. He was a strange thing, but he was hers and she would care for him regardless, but he was still so strange to her. "You, Sir, need to call down before you hurt yourself...or melt everything I own by accident.", she told the dark blue, wiggling creature in her arms as she scratched his head lightly.
Rascal, what Mari had decided to name him because that was exactly what he was, didn't like not moving, but he liked his human because she fed him, so he put up with it. Mostly. He warbled at her, more of an annoyed sound really, and continued to wiggle in her grasp half-heartedly. 'Please ask, Mastromideth, to ask his rider to visit us when he can."' It was more likely that her Bronze riding friend would laugh at her for managing to bond herself to a pet that was likely to increase her number of injuries, however he had experience with pets and might be able to advise her as to how to go about dealing with her strange, oddly cute, slightly dangerous new friend. The teasing she would pay him back for at a later date, should he be so inclined to do so.
Sonath, for her part, watched her human wrangle and hold her new little pet as she did as she was asked. She sought out Mastromideth's mind and, with some effort and time, said, <Mari. Visit. Please.>, slowly in her whisper-like voice, then sent the older dragon an image of her rider in her room, in the weyrling barracks. She then waited for a response while rumbling at her rider softly to let her know the task had been done.
