Srunae
Srunae chuckled darkly at A'zael's moody comment, otherwise unaffected by his petulant retaliation. She did want to give him good banter though, so, "Oh come now A'zael, I have to take these chances as they come to me," She said, a feigned pout on her lips as she settled down on the bed next to him, watching as he took his tea cup from her. "I don't often get to tease you without you turning it right back on me." The goldweyrling grinned haphazardly and tilted her head to one side as the bronzer sipped at the drink, curiosity in her gaze. So it would taste better hot then, judging by his expression and quiet comment, but he downed the entire contents of the cup easily regardless and handed it back to her. So he really didn't care if it was hot or cold tea, huh? She would have to remember that. The woman watched with a fond amusement as A'zael pushed himself back against the headboard of his bed instead of hiding beneath a pillow again, then stood and returned the empty cup back to the table.Zen
As she went about getting all the ingredients ready for a hot cup of tea, Srunae glanced back at her favorite bronzerider as he needled her about her pets - hilariously enough, while his own pet was in his lap. "I plan to amass enough pets," She said vaguely, waving a hand around with a laugh. 'Enough' being when she reached the point where she could no longer keep track of her entire menagerie, not that she would tell A'zael that. The beastcrafter shook her head at his teasing and stuck her tongue out at him. "Oh yes, A'zael, I'm hopelessly addicted to pets - I'm even taking care of one right now." Though A'zael was not really her pet, she couldn't help making the joke, "He's sick, poor thing, but I'm sure once he feels better he'll want to play." She eyed him over her shoulder with a silly smile and then looked up just as Zoom and Fair popped back out of between, a container of hot water strung between them on a leather strap. "Good timing," She sent the both of them a wave of appreciation, and retrieved the container from them. The brown firelizard then proceeded to make good on his namesake, zooming around the room warbling a string of excited sounds before zooming onto the top of A'zael's headboard and looking down at him with a chirp. Fair, on the other hand, settled her lovely minty form on the table, holding out the return note for her Pet to retrieve. Srunae untied the parchment from her greenie and gave her a quick scratch on the head, and scanned the note with an amused smile. The cook had taken quite a liking to Fair, though she was less enthused with Zoom after he proceeded to zoom around the kitchen and knocked over a few pots and pans.
Srunae would have to remember to send her something nice to make up for the mess. That out of the way, the goldweyrling set the note aside and took to carefully pouring some of the hot water into a new cup with tea leaves in it, then set it aside to steep. "Back on the topic of pets," She looked over at the bronzer with his brown gemmie in his lap and her brown firelizard above him with a smile, "You and Frisk seem to be doing well together." A'zael hadn't really seemed one for pets, but he at least appeared to have taken to the gemglider that had stumbled over to him so long ago. She looked back over at the cup, the liquid within beginning to change color. A moment or two longer... "Have you thought about getting a second gemglider to keep Frisk company?" Ah, there it was. She picked up the cup and carefully headed over to A'zael's bedside, waiting patiently before offering it to him. Hopefully this would be a bit better.
