Tak'ril - Bronze Agureyth
Tak’ril grinned at the bronze as he made his twelfth circle around the lake, enjoying his large hatchling's immense pleasure at his wings and their freedom.
Are you ever going to be done.
No. I am thinking of flying forever.
The tall young man put his hands on his hips, raising his eyebrows skeptically. Oh no you won’t, you like food too much to stay up there for too long. He teased, and his bronze hummed appreciatively as his line of thought turned to food.
True. But I have to work it all off, including all the food you eat, mine.
Tak’ril chuckled and allowed himself to join his bronze in the air through their bond. Eyes seeing what the large dragonet saw. Wings feeling the wind under them, the air currents fighting with them, then joining with them.
So, you are going to go to the gather, right?
Tak’ril blinked, slamming himself back into his body. Umm I don’t know.
Joia will be there.
Yes, but Tellamuth can be with her. You cannot come with me.
So? You want to go, right? You want to be with her.
I want to be with you.
I want to be with you, but it is okay if you want to be with her too.
The bronzerider didn’t say anything, he didn’t know what to say. He hadn’t been apart from Agureyth since he hatched. The dragonet had been his constant companion and he wasn’t sure who he was without him.
I’m not sure how comfortable I would be without you.
Why?
Because you are a part of me.
But I will be with you always. And it is just for a few hours. You should go. Have fun. Dance.
I can’t dance.
Oh. Well then watch the dancing. And then show me after. Although Joia may want to dance, and you can’t turn her down.
I’ll step on her feet.
I’m sure she would forgive you.
I would like to spare her feet.
You should go. I’ll be fine, and I’ll be waiting for you. Please go.
Tak’ril was again silent, considering. He did want to go. He wanted to be near Joia. He felt a increasingly uncomfortable thinking about all the people, but he didn’t want to miss out on any more with her. The bronze was finishing his sixteenth round and coming in for a landing.
“Well, okay. But just for a few hours.”
Good. It will be very good for you. And me. I could use some me time. His dragon bumped him teasingly and Tak’ril chuckled shaking his head, then reaching out to give his bonded some scratches.
“I just hope I don’t come to regret this.”
