"Are you sure you don't want to come?" Vitra had asked K'zar, a frown crossing her face at the man as he merely gave a shrug of his shoulders and remained where he was seated: comfortable on Lepsuth's couch, the green coiled around him, her head in his lap as he fed Longsword a fish he'd gotten from the kitchen workers.
"I'm fine here. It'll be nice and quiet. Lepsuth hates crowds, noise, strange people, new places... I won't put her through those, and I won't go without her. We're fine here. You go alone."
He was so- frustratingly calm about it. She knew he'd lived on a ship before coming to Mavros, and that he was used to going to new places and traveling, so she had half expected him to be more willing to come with the rest of the Mavrosi to the wedding at Jask. But he was just going to sit here? Still... her gaze flicked to Lepsuth, who was watching her with one yellow eye. Even her, who she'd been around plenty since her hatching, and even she wasn't trusted. Lepsuth was shy, and she supposed she couldn't blame K'zar for thinking of his dragon.
Vitra finished braiding her hair with the brightly dyed ribbon and tied it off. "Okay then. I guess I'll see you later." He barely looked up as he waved at her, and she left to find Aleni. Tucseth was already prepared, dancing excitedly at the thought of going somewhere new and the prospect of a day of adventure. Vitra managed to calm him down enough for Aleni to climb up, and in just a few minutes they were hovering above Jask Hold among a crowd of other Mavrosi riders, and a few she didn't recognize- possibly from other Weyrs. Aleni left her to attend the ceremony, but Vitra had no place tagging along.
Tucseth took off to visit, and Vitra's gaze settled on a brown she recognized not far off. She ran toward the two, waving at No'va. "No'va! Hey! Isn't this exciting Are you looking forward to the races! Me and Tucseth are definitely going to enter!"
