APPEARANCE: Camachath is not a particularly large brown, but he isn’t a particularly small one either, coming in at a comfortable, middling 60 feet in length. He is built sturdy and strong, with thick limbs and a sharply pointed wedge-shaped head, and his wings are very wide, granting him maneuverability uncommon in dragons of his color and build. In threadfall he will be one of the few browns that won't often need to dip between, able to dodge most thread on his own power; he will also be able to last a full fall, but he will probably be quite tired by the end of the longer ones. In chasing he will be quite good at matching greens in their aerial acrobatics (though his versions will be a bit wider in turning radius than theirs), and he will probably have little trouble keeping up with a small gold. He comes off a bit more intimidating than he would like in shape and in color, predominantly a dark, deep chocolate brown with the colors of a sunrise forming light clouds across his topside.
PERSONALITY: Modest, Witty, Considerate, Easy-Going
Camachath is overall a decent example of what most Pernese think of when they think of brown dragons, though he is perhaps a good deal more intelligent than the stereotype of his color. He is a steady, solid rock for his rider and anyone else around him that might need a safe harbor in a chaotic storm of emotion. He will never be one for any sort of emotional extreme except in the worst emergencies where his rider’s life is on the line, and his amazingly steady temperament can at times make him come off as aloof or apathetic, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Camachath cares deeply for his rider, his clutchmates, his friends, and will always go out of his way to help and see others happy. He will not hesitate to speak to humans other than his rider, though he will always ask another dragon’s permission before speaking directly to their rider, seeing such as a rude intrusion unless permission is given.
Considerate to a fault, Camachath places great emphasis on manners, and is always careful to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. He will always put others’ needs before himself, and may need gentle, or firm, reminders from his rider that he also has needs to be seen to, and that there is nothing wrong in asking for the same help he so freely gives to others, or even in being a little bit selfish now and then. Camachath has a very hard time saying no to others and will likely need his rider to do so for him. Kind and thoughtful, Camachath is a friend anyone would be lucky to have, and of course, his rider is the luckiest of all.
It comes as perhaps a bit of a surprise to most that Camachath has quite a witty streak. More than anyone else, his rider will be privy to all his quips and amusing side commentary, though it will certainly never be at anyone else’s expense. He is quite intelligent and will have a decent mind for strategy, though he rarely shares these thoughts with anyone other than his rider. An incredibly modest dragon, he becomes bashful when complimented and isn’t entirely comfortable inserting his suggestions into a conversation, as he believes it makes it seem like he thinks his ideas are better than someone else’s (which at times they might be, but he certainly doesn’t want to come across that way).
When it comes time for chasing, Camachath is more likely to stick to greens unless a certain gold lady has caught his fancy or his rider has encouraged him to chase. He is far more likely to chase females he has some sort of relationship or bond with, having little urge to do so otherwise.
