Siorreya - Green Amagetith
Her foot tapped rhythmically, matching the beat of the slender dragon’s tail twitching. The lithe blonde laid sprawled haphazardly on her bed, her head and neck hanging over the side of the cot for the upside-down view Sio now had of her bonded. Amagetith was going through a growth spurt, or at least that’s what Siorreya believed, as the green had been eating more ravenously, sleeping more, and altogether rather more agitated and energetic then normal. Which was saying a lot for the mischievous green. Amagetith was indeed quite the handful when awake, but this current nap was seriously hampering their fun time before their late afternoon lesson. Siorreya had been hoping to go to the beach for a swim, maybe round up some of their classmates to join them, but after their morning lesson Amagetith had asked to be oiled nice and thoroughly and had fallen asleep sometime during that. To say the small young woman was disappointed was an understatement.
The twitching tail suddenly picked up pace, and Sio raised an eyebrow curiously. What did dragon’s dream of? She thought about joining in, experiencing the excitement of whatever her bonded experienced during sleep, but hesitated. She didn’t want to wake her-but she did want to wake her-and she didn’t want those intentions to leak over into actually waking the dragon. If the young green needed sleep, she should let her sleep, right? She pursed her lips, caught between her curiosity and her guilt. Suddenly she sat up, her decision made, and had to catch herself from the dizziness of righting herself. She shook her head to clear the stars, and faced her dragon, sitting squarely on the bed, legs hanging over the cot and swinging to and fro.
Sio closed her eyes and followed the link that connected her to her dragon; suddenly she was diving, racing, twirling in the sky. There was more to this flight-blues and browns followed her, her green hide gleamed, she bugled her challenge. Some were closing in on her, but she was fast, faster, stronger, and effortless in the sky. Only the best could catch her. They wanted her, she could feel it, and she wanted one of them, but not yet, the sky was so beautiful and breaking the clouds was just too much fun. But soon-Sio broke the link, her heart racing, her skin on fire. Blue eyes blinked a few times, trying to adjust back to the dimmer cavern sleeping room.
The blonde woman stood, trying to fathom just what was happening. The dream-it was a mating flight, her dragon was dreaming of being flown! Short legs started pacing. Now she really wanted to wake the slumbering reptile. But just because she was dreaming about it, didn’t mean it was actually going to happen anytime soon? Right? She stopped mid stride and pivoted, curiously looking at the dragon, contemplating what would happen when she woke. Nervously she bit her lip. In truth, Sio had known this moment could be happening soon. All the green dragon weyrlings had been warned and taught what to expect. But this was early, wasn’t it? Too early. The blonde blew hair out of her eyes, trying to relax. It was still early, this was just a dream.
She shook herself; a small shiver ran down her spine. She sat in front of the silver glass that reflected her image, contemplating mating. She didn’t know anything about being intimate. She had only been kissed once and while it had not been unpleasant, it really hadn’t been all that pleasant either. She couldn’t imagine doing it again anytime soon, nor doing… Well, more than that. It’s not that she was entirely ignorant. She had seen herd beasts’ mate and heard other girls at the Glass Craft Hall talk about it. The image of the herd beasts versus what the girls had talked about hadn’t necessarily matched either. While the herd beasts mated, it had looked very uncomfortable, but the girls who had talked about it had said it was pleasant, fun, exciting. Siorreya liked exciting things, she loved to have fun, and do new things, so maybe being intimate with another would be better than she anticipated.
She bit her lip in the reflection, and sighed quietly… It would be more fun than sitting here and waiting for her dragon to wake up. She got up and grabbed a book, sitting on the cot again and began reading. Her mind roamed with the book, and just like Siorreya, she was able to forget about the dream and it’s possible consequences and engage in the life of the book. Time passed as it normally did, but the lithe weyrling was unaware of just how much.
Suddenly with a start Amagetith awoke, and a stream of feelings flooded the young weyrling. She gasped, feeling heat, excitement, challenge, and joy, and the book fell from her hands, thudding on the floor.
“Wha-“
It is time to see what these blues have to show for me! It is time to fly high and long, to show off all my skills.
The green dragon was already out their door, and the blonde was following, anything but numbness running through her mind and body. What was she feeling? Was this actually happening? She blinked in a daze, and suddenly they were outside, and Siorreya watched as her dragon trumpeted loudly, challenging one and all to join her, and then launched into the sky. Siorreya swayed, and for a moment wondered if she should be afraid.
Do not be afraid, this will be the most marvelous flight of all. Feel it mine, join with me, let us show these boys what we can do!
Suddenly Sio surrendered, feeling the excitement and thrill pulsing through her small body, and suddenly she was one with the green-strong, unstoppable, fast, agile, uncatchable. The air under her wings was nothing compared to the beat of them.
Who wants to play? Let’s race, high into the sky. Can anyone catch me? Amagetith-Sio taunted, trumpeting out their thrill. Blues were emerging from their caverns and taking to the sky, following the mossy green dragon high into the cloudless sky where her darker hide gleamed brilliantly. Amagetith-Sio twirled, showing off their willowy limbs and swan like neck.
You are most beautiful; I am the only one worthy of you dear Amagetith. Amagetith-Sio recognized Laverauth’s proud voice and pretty words. It pleased them but did not impress them. They wanted fun, twirls, barrel rolls, and spins. Amagetith-Sio zig-zagged as they felt two blues on either side getting too close; they weren’t quite ready to be trapped, not quite ready to be caught and for it all to end. The green dragon tucked their wings and dove, dropping unsuspecting past 2 more blues. Amagetith-Sio recognized Sabanth immediately and preened a little when he was able to react the fastest, following her dive very prettily. I can match your moves with those of my own! Sabanth called, and Amagetith-Sio had to agree. He was agile.
They noticed Hiyacraith not far behind, and then the other blues falling farther behind. The green’s wings snapped up and she banked a hard left, avoiding Hiyacraith just barely, feeling his wing tip gently along theirs for but a moment.
Siorreya was pulled back into her body for a moment, feeling a finger trail along her arm slowly, and the thrill of the feeling making her throat thick. She gasped, and twisted left, out of the hand’s reach, just as Amagetith had done in the sky. She noticed the room they were in had a good view of the dragons from the opening, and many men were surrounding her, close, just within reach; instead of looking at the faces around her, she closed her eyes and re-merged with her bonded.
I almost had you, I will have you! Called Hiyacraith, but his dive had taken him far out of reach, and Sabanth was closing in, a little above her still. Laverauth close behind, but farther under her. Sabanth called trumpeted his challenge to the blues, he could feel his win coming.
Their wings were getting tired, and Amagetith-Sio supposed soon this would have to come to an end, but not without an exciting end. She beat her wings for the finale, upturning as sharply as she could, and allowed the pull of her wings against air to give her pleasure. She twirled, enjoying the adrenaline pumping through her in her upward flight, and then the pleasure of simple free fall. It was in this moment, when free fall first began that she felt a tail entwine with hers, and wings encircling her, claiming her.
This, this was indeed the perfect ending Amagetith-Sio supposed, quite happy with the results of their nimble flight. Sabanth bugled his triumph, and Amagetith-Sio joined in-But Siorreya was ever so slightly pulled away, back into her body. She was twirling too, a small giggle escaping her mouth, and then she was caught in an embrace, arms circling round her and pinning hers down. Lips covered hers in a hungry kiss, and she felt herself lifted, and then tumbling down into a cot, arms still pinned tightly to her side. She was unafraid at the fall, her sensations, emotions, and reality mixing still with her bonded, she knew she was safe. She felt a hand on her cheek and then trail down her neck causing her to shiver, and she was able to gasp in a little breath before lips found hers again. She was blind to all else, to others leaving defeated, to the man holding her, the small room they were in. She was only aware of the new sensations and her dragon’s mental hold on her.
