NAME: T'rey (Treyvin)
RANK: Weyrling
AGE: 16?
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
DRAGON: Brown Euploeth
PETS: Blue Shipfish (Flit), Brown Drift (Spitter)
Level 2 Empath
APPEARANCE: [Face claim is Levi Miller] A lanky boy, but not completely a bean. In his youth he was somewhat shorter, but will have grown to 5' 9" when he returns from between - possibly still growing. He has the body of a runner - and is quick. As he gets older he'll be able to put more bulk on him, but his strength won't be visible probably until and if he impresses and has to start caring for a dragon. Right now his lean muscles come from running and working the wood for the year he had on the docks working with boats. His eyes are a lighter blue, rimmed with a dark blue on the outsides. He inherited a lot of his mother's softer characteristics when it comes to his face, a seemingly eternal young look about him, mischievous eyes. His hair is a rich brown that gives away it's red tones in the sunlight.
Personality Type: INFP-T, The Mediator
PERSONALITY FAULTS: manipulative, independent, quiet, impulsive
Treyvin didn’t mean to be manipulative – it started when he was younger and realized that he could get adults to do things when they were feeling a certain way. This is usually done without conscious thought, almost second nature to assess a situation and then act accordingly to get what he needed. Having no father present probably prompted this and his strong need for independence and to prove himself just as good as anyone else, including despite his differences. He has a strong desire to do things on his own and will not think to ask for help, unless it is offered. Depending on the situation and who is offering, he may be reluctant to let them help.
He is not shy, he rather enjoys the company of others – but can come off shy because he usually keeps quiet. He’s found that not talking often gets him into less trouble than talking does. Large crowds can overwhelm him, so he’ll schedule his day to avoid them (he’ll eat at the end of meal times, find chores that he can do mostly on his own or with a few other people, etc.).
Having much more to think about, he often neglects his own feelings - which includes acting without thinking. He has a hard time in which he is forced to or asked to express his own feelings, because separating them from everything else around him is too difficult. He will act upon impulse or choose to ignore/run away from a situation to give himself space to assess his own feelings and thoughts.
PERSONALITY STRENGTHS: loyal, observing, mature, adventurous
Since Treyvin feels that he can get a pretty good read on people, he will not flip loyalty easily. Even if you try to shake him, he realizes that there are often underlying feeling and reasons why people run from relationships. He is very loyal and patient with people, normally at least. Once he has made a decision, he is confident in his choice - sometimes to a fault, but he doesn't usually have a problem with indecision.
While feeling other feelings can be overwhelming at times, especially in large crowds, it has allowed him to be more aware of others and their needs. He has developed (and will develop this more as he gets older) the ability to multitask or take in multiple details at once. It started with the need to separate the different feelings in a room, and while he isn't perfect at it, it has helped when he is in small groups to pick up on details that are often missed. As a feeling may express itself, but accompanied with different facial or hand motions will mean different things - these are the sort of details he has been slowly been able to pick up quickly.
His dreams and desires are still young, but feeling the feelings of so many adults has seemingly aged the soul of the boy. He was socially adept early in life and picks up social cues easily. He is adventurous, but holds himself and tries to speak like an adult. There's still part of him that wants to be young, but growing up with no father and only younger siblings push him into a more responsible role. His free spirit will take him and push him into adventures, but he's also has the ability to hold up a conversation with an adult.

HISTORY:
His mother took to the healer craft early, having grown up harvesting and working around herbs and plants. She was a bright happy spirit – slightly impulsive, but not too much so. Her father spent time trading at sea, so she spent most of her time with her mom and siblings. After a situation at a bar, she met and tended to Treyjen after a barfight. Treyjen left before she realized that she was pregnant, and she always wondered if he would have taken her with him or had returned if he had known.
From a young age Trey was a sensitive soul. His mother first recognized it in the way he would try to comfort her or talk to her- without her saying a thing. It didn’t require tears or jubilation for the young boy to know how she was feeling. On the other hand, she realized how scared he would get when she would get angry. From teaching him how to handle emotions to the best of her ability (without understanding completely why he was different) to using words like “it seems like you’re feeling” instead of “I know you’re feeling” – Vineya did her best in raising Treyvin with his strange ability.
Treyvin grew up watching his mother tend to plants and creating concoctions in bulk for trade. While he learned a lot about plants, he was more drawn to the sea – probably because of the few stories that his mother had told him and had made up. (She made up stories whenever he got persistent asking for new stories.) When he turned 12 he told his mom he wanted to work with boats, and she allowed him the freedom to do so.
He spent a year in wood crafting boats, but into his 13th year he was searched by a dragon rider visiting the hold. His mother was somewhat reluctant, but allowed him to leave. Treyvin got to Mavros in time for a few lessons and then was whisked away into the past with the Timers. Unfortunately, Treyvin did not impress and spent the rest of his time with the healers and doing other menial tasks. He’s still drawn to the ocean though, and he’s not quite sure what to think about being searched, especially since he didn’t impress the first time (even though he’s been told it’s normal).
